      <p class="para_topic">Faces Only is a cutting strategy used for profiling passes or for finishing. You can specify what constitutes a face in the  <a class="links" href="javascript:void(0)" onclick="top.openFile('mfgturning/turn_mp_cont_tps.html');return(false);">Contour Types</a> dialog. In this strategy, the system cuts only the geometries you have specified as faces using the following cut pattern:

      <p class="para_topic">In this cutting strategy:</p>
      <ul>
         <li>
            <p class="para_item">if you change direction the system does not invert the cutting motions. They are always from top to bottom.</p>
         </li>
         <li>
            <p class="para_item">if you change direction the stop at position does not change.</p>
         </li>
         <li>
            <p class="para_item">the system makes retract/ engage motions between every spring pass, no matter if alternate is on or not. Because the system always cuts faces down only, an end point of a pass never has the same coordinates as the start point of the following pass. You therefore need retract and engage.</p>
         </li>
