      <p class="para_topic">Use <b class="uiTerm">Reference Tool</b> when you want to machine the material remaining in corners that was missed by a previous tool, as illustrated below.

      <p class="para_topic">The remaining material may be between the walls and floors due to tool corner radius, or between the walls due to tool diameter. &nbsp;The tool path for operations with a reference tool selected is similar to other <b class="uiTerm">Cavity Mill</b> or <b class="uiTerm">Zlevel</b> operations, but is limited to only the corner areas.
      </p>
      <p class="para_topic">The reference tool is typically the tool you used to previously rough out the area. The software calculates the material left by the specified reference tool and then defines the cut regions for the current operation. </p>
      <div class="title_division">Create an operation with Reference Tool</div>
      <ol type="1" start="1">
         <li>
            <p class="para_item">In the Cavity Mill or Zlevel operation dialog box, click <b class="uiTerm">Cutting Parameters</b>.
            </p>
         </li>
         <li>
            <p class="para_item">In the <b class="uiTerm">Cut Parameters</b> dialog box, click the <b class="uiTerm">Containment</b> tab.
            </p>
            <p class="para_item">The <b class="uiTerm">Reference Tool</b> section displays the status: &nbsp;For example, Reference Tool: &nbsp;None. Click:
            </p>
            <ul>
               <li>
                  <p class="para_item"><b class="uiTerm">Edit</b> to make changes to your current reference tool.
                  </p>
               </li>
               <li>
                  <p class="para_item"><b class="uiTerm">Select</b> to get Information about the current reference tool, select an existing tool, or create a new tool as a reference tool.
                  </p>
               </li>
               <li>
                  <p class="para_item"><b class="uiTerm">Display</b> to see your reference tool.
                  </p>
               </li>
            </ul>
         </li>
      </ol>

                        <p class="para_note_body">You must select a tool with a diameter larger than the tool used by the current operation.</p>
                     </li>
                     <li>
                        <p class="para_note_body">When the difference between the reference tool radius and the part corner radius is small, the thickness of the material to remove may be too small to detect. You can specify a smaller machining tolerance or select a larger reference tool to achieve better results. With a smaller machining tolerance, the software will detect the smaller amounts of material remaining, but may require more processing time. Choosing a larger reference tool may be a better choice.</p>

      <div class="title_division">Overlap Distance</div>
      <p class="para_division"><b class="uiTerm">Overlap Distance</b> extends the width of the area to machine for the specified distance along the tangent surfaces.
      </p>
      <p class="para_division"> the width of the area defined by the reference tool diameter along the tangent surfaces. <b class="uiTerm">Overlap Distance</b> is only available if you specify offsets for the reference tool.

      <p class="para_division">Specify a steep angle to further limit the cut regions to wall corners that are contained by the specified steep angle.</p>

                  <p class="para_note_body">In the figure below, the corners are not cut to the same lowest level. The software did not machine the right corner all the way down because it detected the pad before touching the floor in the corner. </p>

      <p class="para_division">Use Reference Tool with IPW to clean out corners. &nbsp;For example, this is the IPW from a previous Cavity Milling operation:</p>
