      <p class="para_topic">The countersinking tool forms a cone-shaped bevel at the opening of the hole or at one of the smaller diameters such as at the bottom of the counterbore. Countersinks are usually formed by plunging the countersinking tool on centerline. On large holes, it may be necessary to generate the countersink by circular milling the bevel.</p>

               <p class="para_td">This parameter represents the diameter of the body of the countersinking tool. It is important for the calculation of the flute length, and to check tool clearance when the body must enter into a counterbore to form a countersink down inside the hole.</p>

               <p class="para_td">If a countersinking tool has a flat at its tip, then the diameter of the flat should be recorded in the tool definition. Also, the tracking point is found on the flat bottom. </p>
