      <p class="para_topic">The <b class="uiTerm">NX Dialog</b> (MenuScript) step allows you to provide existing NX application dialogs as part of the Manufacturing Wizard. The dialog launches in NX and then returns to the wizard when the end user selects <b class="uiTerm">OK</b> or <b class="uiTerm">Cancel</b>.

      <p class="para_division">The NX Dialog or MenuScript step uses the same menuscript buttons as those found in NX .men files. As shown in the following example, ug_sfem.men leads to UG_SFEM_INSERT_PARTITION_SOLID, which invokes the Partition dialog.</p><pre class="indent">BUTTON UG_SFEM_INSERT_PARTITION_SOLID

ACTIONS STANDARD</pre><p class="para_division">Options available in the <b class="uiTerm">NX Dialog</b> step include a <b class="uiTerm">Menubar</b> specification and a <b class="uiTerm">Button</b> specification. The <b class="uiTerm">Menubar</b> element identifies user-defined menu bars and buttons. If you don't specify a <b class="uiTerm">Menubar</b> string, the NX internal menu bars will search for the <b class="uiTerm">Button</b> definition.

      <div class="title_division">NX Dialog Guidelines</div>
      <ul>
         <li>
            <p class="para_item">The <b class="uiTerm">NX Dialog</b> step use may be restricted in the Manufacturing Wizard by the NX UI state. For example, while in the <b class="uiTerm">Structures</b> application, many dialogs are turned off because their actions are not appropriate to the <b class="uiTerm">Structures</b> application. Available dialogs are therefore determined by the UI state. If the process is being run in the Manufacturing Wizard and the current UI state restricts access to a particular button definition, the NX Dialog-defined step will display a status message and will skip that step.

            <p class="para_item">Since there is no wizard dialog for the <b class="uiTerm">NX Dialog</b> step, meaning that in the Manufacturing Wizard the target dialog simply appears, you may want to add a <b class="uiTerm">Message</b> step before the <b class="uiTerm">NX Dialog</b> step to display additional information, or to point to additional information for the benefit of the consumer.
