      </table><br><p class="para_topic">Other geometry considerations include the following.</p>
      <div class="title_division">Multiple Regions</div>

      <p class="para_division">Only one start and end point are user-definable per operation. This may not be appropriate when multiple regions are being machined in one operation</p>
      <p class="para_division">If multiple pockets are machined in one operation, the Start and End points for Contour Profile will be in different pockets. If you want a Start and End point in independent pockets, then individual operations are required. &nbsp;</p>
      <div class="title_division">Automatic Wall Selection</div>
      <p class="para_division">Automatic wall selection may not work properly with some geometry. Use the <b class="uiTerm">Display</b> functionality to review the results of automatic selection. If necessary, modify the selection to obtain correct results.

      <p class="para_division">Sometimes a floor selection includes details that should be machined by methods other than <b class="uiTerm">Contour Profile</b>. For example, the center details in the figure below produce a valid tool path, but the tool axis variation is probably too much for reasonable machining. For this example, the brown surface was selected for the floor. <b class="uiTerm">Automatic Wall</b> selected the blue surfaces which include the center detail. The results are a valid tool path that may not be good for machining.

      <p class="para_division">One way to remove the center details it to turn off <b class="uiTerm">Automatic Wall</b> and de-select the center wall geometry.

      <p class="para_division">Another way to avoid machining the center details is to leave <b class="uiTerm">Automatic Wall</b> on and add the center geometry to the floor.

      <div class="title_division">Dart Features</div>

      <p class="para_division">Dart features should be excluded from the Wall Geometry list. Define the Dart feature, if modeled, as check geometry and manually select the walls to machine. </p>
      <div class="title_division">Walls with Tabs</div>
      <p class="para_division">One way to machine walls with tabs (or other geometry that requires avoidance and tool path connections), is to properly define <b class="uiTerm">Check Geometry</b> and <b class="uiTerm">Non-Cutting</b> moves.
      </p>

            <p class="para_item">In the <b class="uiTerm">CONTOUR_PROFILE</b> dialog, click <img align="bottom" src="graphics/checkbody.gif" border="0">, <b class="uiTerm">Select</b>.

            <p class="para_item">For this example, in the <b class="uiTerm">Check Geometry</b> dialog, set <b class="uiTerm">Filter Methods</b> to <b class="uiTerm">Faces</b>, and select the tab faces.
            </p>

            <p class="para_item">Set the <b class="uiTerm">Action Mode</b> to <b class="uiTerm">Append</b>, and continue selecting check geometry.
            </p>
         </li>
         <li>
            <p class="para_item">Click <b class="uiTerm">OK</b> when selection is complete.

         <li>
            <p class="para_item">In the <b class="uiTerm">CONTOUR_PROFILE</b> dialog, click <b class="uiTerm">Non-Cutting</b>. 
            </p>
         </li>

            <p class="para_item">In the <b class="uiTerm">Non-cutting Moves</b> dialog, define the <b class="uiTerm">Engage</b>  <img align="bottom" src="graphics/nonecutmove_engage_lc.gif" border="0"> and <b class="uiTerm">Retract</b>  <img align="bottom" src="graphics/nonecutmove_retract_lc.gif" border="0"> movements (minimum requirement).

      <p class="para_division">When a convex corner and its adjacent sides are constructed of a single face, the processor may give incorrect results. A work around will be to break the wall into the corner and its adjacent walls into separate faces</p>

      <p class="para_division">Variable concave corners where the cutter can fit at one end (B), but not fit at the other (A), cannot be traced correctly. The software will produce an incomplete tool path. A work around will be to use a cutter that can fit at the narrower end of the corner.</p>

      <div class="title_division">Footprint</div>
      <p class="para_division">When defining an auxiliary floor for a no-floor case, the auxiliary floor should have enough footprint to stop the cutter when it gets projected towards the auxiliary floor. Places where there is not enough footprint will be removed from the tool path as non cutting moves.</p>

      <div class="title_division">Off the wall contact</div>
      <p class="para_division">When the cutter loses contact with the wall (for example because of a cutout or rib top), the processor will disengage the cutter until it finds another location at the wall where contact is achieved.</p>
