      </table><br><p class="para_topic">The fine finish options allow you to leave material on your workpiece for subsequent grinding or finishing. This stock/offset is added to any general, tolerance (geometry level only), or legacy offset you apply.</p>
      <p class="para_topic">Fine finish stock/offset values must be positive, and you can specify them at both the geometry group (offset) and operation levels (stock).</p>
      <p class="para_topic">To set fine finish stock/offset:</p>
      <ol type="1" start="1">
         <li>
            <p class="para_item">With the <b class="uiTerm">Edit Member</b> dialog open, select the boundary member in the graphics window. The system highlights the boundary member and displays the numbers 1 and 2 representing the corners.
            </p>
         </li>
         <li>
            <p class="para_item">Choose the <b class="uiTerm">Fine Finish Offset</b> (geometry level) or <b class="uiTerm">Fine Finish Stock</b> (operation level) tab.
            </p>
         </li>
         <li>
            <p class="para_item">To add fine finish stock/offset to a member, choose the <b class="uiTerm">Stock Value</b>/<b class="uiTerm">Offset Value</b> option and enter a value. Choose <b class="uiTerm">Preview</b> to see the effects of the stock/offset on the boundary.
            </p>
         </li>
         <li>
            <p class="para_item">Choose a  <a class="links" href="javascript:void(0)" onclick="top.openFile('mfgturning/turn_stock_corner_types.html');return(false);">corner type option</a>. By default, the system uses the <b class="uiTerm">General</b> corner option when applying fine finish stock/offset. You have &nbsp;the following options:

            <p class="para_item">If you chose <b class="uiTerm">Angular Line</b> or <b class="uiTerm">Tangential Line</b> corner types in Step 4, enter an angle value and specify from which member you want to measure this angle. The options are as follows:

            <p class="para_item">In the following example, stock is added to segment  <img align="bottom" src="graphics/numc.gif" border="0">&nbsp;using the <b class="uiTerm">Angular Line</b> corner type at corner <img align="bottom" src="graphics/numa.gif" border="0">. The current segment  <img align="bottom" src="graphics/numc.gif" border="0"> is shown in red. To achieve this result, you can do either of the following:

                  <p class="para_item">Choose <b class="uiTerm">At Current Segment</b> <img align="bottom" src="graphics/stock_current_segment.gif" border="0"> and enter an angle of 80.

                  <p class="para_item">Choose <b class="uiTerm">At Previous Segment</b> <img align="bottom" src="graphics/stock_previous_segment.gif" border="0"> and enter an angle of 145.

            <p class="para_item">(Optional) If you are editing custom member data at the operation level, you can choose to ignore any fine finish offset set at the geometry group level by checking the <b class="uiTerm">Ignore Fine Finish Offset</b> option.
