            </p>

            <p class="para_item">Select the threading geometry. Do so by selecting a crest line. The end closest to where you select the line is the start point of the crest line. The opposite end becomes the end point.</p>
         </li>

            <p class="para_item">If you want a different end point, use the option End Line Select in the Offsets/End Line Dialog to select a segment whose intersection with the crest line will be used as a new end point.</p>
         </li>
         <li>
            <p class="para_item">If you need to adjust the length of a thread, define the  <a class="links" href="javascript:void(0)" onclick="top.openFile('mfgturning/turn_td_offset_end_line.html');return(false);">offsets</a> by selecting Offsets/End Line from the operation dialog. Positive offset values lengthen the thread; negative offset values shorten the thread.

            <p class="para_item">Define the  <a class="links" href="javascript:void(0)" onclick="top.openFile('mfgturning/turn_td_total_depth.html');return(false);">depth of the thread</a> and thread angle.
            </p>
         </li>

            <p class="para_item">Specify a  <a class="links" href="javascript:void(0)" onclick="top.openFile('mfgturning/turn_td_min_clear.html');return(false);">minimum clearance</a>.
            </p>
         </li>
         <li>
            <p class="para_item">Use  <a class="links" href="javascript:void(0)" onclick="top.openFile('mfgturning/turn_td_start_num.html');return(false);">number of starts</a> if you want a multiple thread.
            </p>
         </li>
         <li>
            <p class="para_item">Specify the  <a class="links" href="javascript:void(0)" onclick="top.openFile('mfgturning/turn_td_pitch_lead_tpi.html');return(false);">pitch</a> using the Specify Pitch/Lead/Threads per unit button. 
            </p>
         </li>
         <li>
            <p class="para_item">You can define infeed (the angle at which the tool moves to the depth of the pass) and pullout angles (the angle at which the tool is retracted from the thread) using the  <a class="links" href="javascript:void(0)" onclick="top.openFile('mfgturning/turn_td_engage_retract.html');return(false);">engage/retract</a> options.
            </p>

            <p class="para_item">You may need to define a set of finish passes to remove remaining material.</p>
         </li>

            <p class="para_item">Define chase passes and a local return in the  <a class="links" href="javascript:void(0)" onclick="top.openFile('mfgturning/turn_td_chase_pass.html');return(false);">Chase Passes Dialog</a> if necessary.

            <p class="para_item">You can also set  <a class="links" href="javascript:void(0)" onclick="top.openFile('mfgturning/turn_mp_feed_rates.html');return(false);">feed rates</a>,  <a class="links" href="javascript:void(0)" onclick="top.openFile('mfgturning/turn_mp_machine.html');return(false);">machine control</a> options and  <a class="links" href="javascript:void(0)" onclick="top.openFile('mfgturning/turn_geom_avoid.html');return(false);">avoidance</a> options.
