      </table><br><p class="para_topic">You can create or edit manual cut patterns directly from the Region Cut Patterns dialog. &nbsp;The Region Cut Patterns dialog appears when you generate a Face Milling operation with a Mixed cut method.</p>
      <div class="title_division">Editing Manual Cut Patterns</div>
      <p class="para_division">You can select tool path segments on the screen to indicate which pattern actions you want to edit.</p>

                  <p class="para_note_body">You can only edit the parameters for a pattern action, and not the individual goto or circle motions generated by the pattern action. Once editing is complete, all edited pattern actions are saved back to the region.</p>

      <div class="title_division">Save Active Grid Parameters for Regions with a Manual Cut Method</div>
      <p class="para_division">Accepting a manual cut pattern (select OK from the Manual Cut Pattern dialog) automatically saves a snapshot of the current work plane grid to the current region.</p>

      <div class="title_division">Storage of CSYS and WCS</div>
      <p class="para_division">In addition to the work plane grid, a CSYS may be stored with each region that employs a manual pattern. The CSYS is necessary in order to preserve the orientation of the work plane grid.</p>
      <p class="para_division">By default, the origin of the region CSYS is located at the centroid of the cut region, in the plane of the cut level. The z-axis of the CSYS lies along the tool axis and the x-axis lies along the direction of the longest linear segment for the region. The y-axis is created normal to the x-axis.</p>
      <p class="para_division">When entering the Manual Cut Pattern dialog, the system checks if a CSYS is stored with the region. If so, the WCS is set to the region CSYS. If not, the region CSYS is set to the default region CSYS. </p>
      <p class="para_division">After exiting the Manual Cut Pattern dialog, the system compares the current WCS to the default region CSYS. If they are different, the system saves the CSYS for the WCS to the region.</p>
      <p class="para_division">Changing the WCS while in the Manual Cut Pattern dialog updates the region CSYS.</p>
      <div class="title_division">Defining Delta Motion Positions</div>
      <p class="para_division">You can define a new motion position as a delta (dxc, dyc, dzc) from a previous motion position. The delta values are stored with the pattern instead of the resulting point. This lets you re-apply the pattern action to a region even when the previous motion position has changed.</p>
      <p class="para_division">The delta values you enter are relative to the current WCS. </p>
      <div class="title_division">Vector Distance Manual Pattern Action</div>
      <p class="para_division">You can define a new motion position at a distance along a vector from a previous motion position. Both the vector and distance are stored in the pattern data so that the pattern action can always be re-applied even when the previous motion position changes.</p>
      <p class="para_division">All available vector methods in the generic vector constructor dialog are supported.</p>
      <div class="title_division">Dependency Requirements for Delta and Vector Distance Moves</div>
      <p class="para_division">You can only define a Delta Move or Vector Distance Move when there is a previous motion position defined. Attempting to delete a move that defines the only position prior to a Delta Move or Vector Distance Move generates a warning. If you continue and delete, the Delta Move or Vector Distance Move can't generate a tool path motion, because it doesn't have a previously known position to calculate from.</p>
      <div class="title_division">Motion Outputs for Delta and Vector Distance Moves </div>
      <p class="para_division">For the Cut motion type, the system can output a single 3D motion. Any other motion types (Engage, Retract, Stepover, Rapid) will have two separate motion components: one along the tool axis and one parallel to the cut level plane as illustrated below:</p>

                     <p class="para_item">A vertical motion is output from the current tool path position to the projected point on the new cut level plane. </p>

                     <p class="para_item">A 2D motion will output along the new cut level plane from the projected point to the final destination point.</p>

      </table><br><div class="title_division">Non-Zero Tool Axis Component</div>
      <p class="para_division">The system automatically uses any non-zero tool axis component of the Delta motion to adjust the level offset stored with subsequent pattern actions so that these actions are generated at the new level.</p>
      <div class="title_division">Rounding Tool Path Output for Positioning Manual Pattern Actions</div>
      <p class="para_division">You can round the tool path positions output for the following move types to a specified number of decimal places. </p>
      <ul>
         <li>
            <p class="para_item">Reposition to Point</p>
         </li>
         <li>
            <p class="para_item">Move to Point</p>
         </li>
      </ul>
      <p class="para_division">The system stores the rounding status (On/Off) and number of decimal places with the action data. The point stored is the original point you specified. The rounding option is only applied when the point is output to the tool path.</p>
      <div class="title_division">Display Tool for Repositioning Pattern Actions</div>
      <p class="para_division">When you specify a Reposition to Point or Reposition to Shape manual pattern action, if you set the path display to Silhouette, the system displays the outline of the tool (a circle) at the center position described by the current cursor location. </p>
      <div class="title_division">Set the Current View Relative to the Tool Axis</div>
      <p class="para_division">When you enter the <b class="uiTerm">Region Cut Patterns</b> dialog, if necessary, the screen view is automatically oriented to look down along the tool axis. When you exit the <b class="uiTerm">Region Cut Patterns</b> dialog, the system automatically restores the original view.
