	align=left>This command generates code to activate a register on the
 controller for cutter compensation to the right or left of the cutter
 path. The general purpose of cutter compensation is to adjust the cutter
 path to allow for variation due to an undersize or oversize cutter.</p>
<p CLASS=CellDescrip
	style="text-align: left;"
	align=left>Some controllers have difficulty with cutter compensation
 direction if the cutter stops moving forward or does not change direction
 between Goto points. This can happen when the cutter moves only in Z (assuming
 the cutter compensation plane is XY) or if the cutter makes two collinear
 moves in a row. In these cases, you might find it necessary to program
 small intermediate moves away from the part before you engage cutter compensation.</p>

	align=left>1. The codes output by the CUTCOM command are defined by
 MDF (Machine Data File) parameters.</p>
<p CLASS=CellDescrip
	style="text-align: left;"
	align=left>2. For `P,Q' (Cincinnati) cutter compensation, the postprocessor
 will calculate cutter compensation vectors for each move in the XY plane
 while CUTCOM is in effect. &quot;n&quot;, &quot;XYPLAN&quot;, &quot;YZPLAN&quot;,
 and &quot;ZXPLAN&quot; parameters do not apply.</p>
<p CLASS=CellDescrip
	style="text-align: left;"
	align=left>3. For cutter compensation controlled by on/off, direction,
 and plane selection codes, codes generated by the CUTCOM command will
 be output immediately or with the next motion, as specified by MDF default.
 For certain systems, &quot;n&quot;, &quot;XYPLAN&quot;, &quot;YZPLAN&quot;,
 and &quot;ZXPLAN&quot; do not apply.</p>
<p CLASS=CellDescrip
	style="text-align: left;"

 direction has not been specified previously, the postprocessor will assume
 the MDF default direction.</p>
<p CLASS=CellDescrip

	align=left>5. Cutter compensation does not affect the coordinates output
 by the postprocessor.</p>
<p CLASS=CellDescrip
	style="text-align: left;"
	align=left>6. When cutter compensation is cancelled, the tool position
 is no longer modified by the cutter compensation offset. Therefore, it
 is possible that the tool can unintentionally collide with the part unless
 the part programmer uses caution when cancelling cutter compensation.
 Before cancelling cutter compensation, the tool should be out of the part
 and at a distance greater than the designated compensation offset.</p>
