You can also control the tool movement, display, and verify that the cutter is cutting the correct portions of the raw material during the generation of a tool path. It is important to determine if the finished part is gouged by these moves. Visualize consists of a series of capabilities designed to provide graphical feedback as well as report unacceptable conditions in a tool path, multiple tool paths, or a set-up. Visualize does not take into consideration machine tool kinematics.

Where Do I Find It?

Visualize can be invoked from three different locations: The Verify icon on the tool bar, Operation Navigator pop up menu (MB3, Toolpath>Verify), or by clicking the Verify icon inside each operation. The first two options are two different ways of invoking the same function. To invoke Visualize through these two options you must select existing operations with tool paths. Accessing Visualize the third way, from within an operation, allows you to work with operations that you are still creating and have not yet accepted. The order in which the operations are visualized is always the program order view, the currently active operation is always highlighted in the Operation Navigator.

This brings up the Toolpath Visualization dialog. The dialog is ready to display the operation(s) you have selected in the Operation Navigator. Accessing Visualize in this way allows you to select a single pre-existing operation or multiple pre-existing operations at one time.

If you access Visualize these first two ways you can select other operations in the Operation Navigator, after you have started Visualize, and Visualize will immediately display the first operation of the new selection.
