The marker Common Parameters allows you to define the parameters that apply to each cycle. Once you have defined the behavior of the approach to the hole, feed to depth and retract from the hole in the Common Parameters dialog, the system applies them to all canned cycles. If you set up your canned cycles to use a definition block followed by G79, it applies all cycles. You can disconnect the global behavior of any cycle by selecting the customize button to left of each cycle. Once you select customize, you can then make each cycle independent.

This common parameters dialog allows you to define and display how your canned cycles behave. You can define the G code that the system uses with each of the pre-defined cycles. You can also modify them using the G-code dialog. You can also define how the system outputs each element of the canned cycle. Some cycles contain incremental feeds (DEEP, BRKCHP) and others may have a programmed dwell at the bottom of the hole (DRILL, DWELL; BORE, DWELL; BORE, MANUAL, DWELL).The tool then either feeds or rapids up depending upon the cycle. After the system completes the cycle you can program an additional retract to the RTRCTO plane. The following options can be set as common parameters: Cycle Start, Rapid To, Retract To, Feed To, Cycle Plane Control, and Additional Cycle Parameters.
