      <p class="para_division">The following figures illustrate various machining situations using 2D Contact Contour. &nbsp;&nbsp;</p>
      <p class="para_division">In Figure 2 below, the top picture shows the tool path output (in blue) using tool center point. &nbsp;The bottom picture shows the tool path output (in blue) using contact. &nbsp;The material remaining (in green) is on the inside.</p>

      <p class="para_division">The figure below illustrates a part machined with Planar Profile, but it does not use 2D Contact Contour. &nbsp;Note that the tool path (in blue) is output at the center of the cutter. &nbsp;&nbsp;</p>

      <p class="para_division">When using <b class="uiTerm">Output Contact/ Tracking Data</b>, the Planar Profile processor outputs the tool path to represent the contact locations at the perimeter of the cutter or at any user-defined tracking position on the cutter. &nbsp;The figure below shows the tool path output at the periphery of the cutter with the <b class="uiTerm">Convex Corner</b> option <b class="uiTerm">Add Arcs</b> selected.

      <p class="para_division">Here, the cutter compensation is activated during a straight line move (yellow line in the figure above) that is the Linear Engage or that precedes the Circular Engage (yellow curve in the figure above). &nbsp;During that linear move, the tool path is output from the center of the tool end at the start of the move to the first contact position at the end of the move.</p>
