      <p class="para_topic">Stepover controls the distance between successive Cut Passes. You may specify the Stepover in terms of the scallop size or the total number of Stepovers. The Stepover options vary depending on the Cut Type used.</p>

      <div class="title_division">Scallop</div>
      <p class="para_division">Scallop allows you to specify the maximum allowable size of Scallops by specifying values for height, horizontal, and vertical distances. This method is useful for good Scallop Height Control when the Drive Surface is also used as the Part Surface. The system limits the size of the stepover to roughly less than two-thirds of the tool diameter regardless of what you specify as the scallop size. After selecting Scallop Height, the system provides the following options:</p>
      <div class="title_division">Scallop Height</div>
      <p class="para_division">Scallop Height is the maximum allowable height measured normal to the Drive Surface.</p>
      <div class="title_division">Horizontal Limit </div>
      <p class="para_division">Using a flat bottom tool may result in large stepovers on the part floor. &nbsp;Horizontal Limit controls these large stepovers by restricting the distance a tool may move in a direction normal to the Projection Vector. This option helps you avoid leaving wide ridges on near horizontal surfaces by limiting the horizontal distance of the Stepover.</p>
      <div class="title_division">Vertical Limit</div>
      <p class="para_division">Machining walls may result in large stepovers. &nbsp;Use Vertical Limit to control the size of these stepovers. &nbsp;&nbsp;Vertical Limit allows you to restrict the distance a tool may move in a direction parallel to the Projection Vector. This option helps you avoid leaving wide ridges on near vertical surfaces by limiting the vertical distance of the Stepover.</p>

                  <p class="para_warning_body">  CAUTION: If the Drive surface has undercut areas that the tool cannot position to, the Scallop Stepover Method should not be used. The system will display an error message indicating that the tool cannot position to the Drive Surface.</p>

      <div class="title_division">Number</div>
      <p class="para_division">Number allows you to specify the total number of Stepovers for the Tool Path.</p>
      <p class="para_division">If the Cut Type you select is Follow Pocket, enter the Number of Stepovers for the First Direction (i.e., cut direction) and for the Second Direction (i.e., Stepover direction).</p>
