      <p class="para_topic"> <a class="links" href="javascript:void(0)" onclick="top.openFile('mfgmilling/cut_cutmeth.html');return(false);">Cut Methods</a> determine the tool path pattern used to machine cut regions: 
      </p>
      <ul>
         <li>
            <p class="para_item">Zig-Zag, Zig, and Zig With Contour all produce variations of parallel linear cutting passes. </p>
         </li>
         <li>
            <p class="para_item">Follow Periphery produces a sequence of concentric cutting passes that can progress inward or outward.</p>
         </li>
         <li>
            <p class="para_item">Profile produces a single cutting pass that follows the part portion of the cut region contour. Unlike the other cut types, Profile is not designed to remove a volume of material, but rather to follow the part portion of the periphery of the region only. &nbsp;If a cut region consists entirely of blank geometry, a profile cut method will not produce any cutting motions in that region.</p>

            <p class="para_item">Mixed allows you to select different cut methods at each region, one of which is  <a class="links" href="javascript:void(0)" onclick="top.openFile('mfgmilling/pmill_fm_manual_cut.html');return(false);">Manual Cut</a>.

      <div class="title_division">Additional Passes</div>
      <p class="para_division">This text field is available only when using a profile cut method. A profile cut method allows you to remove material gradually in multiple passes. Additional Passes represent the number of passes in addition to the one pass along the cut region periphery.</p>
      <div class="title_division">Blank Distance and Final Floor Stock</div>
      <p class="para_division">Blank Distance defines the total thickness of material to be removed, measured above the plane of the selected face geometry and along the tool axis. This option is used in combination with Final Floor Stock, which defines the thickness of material to be left uncut above the face geometry. The total thickness of material to be removed is the distance between the Blank Distance and Final Floor Stock.</p>
      <p class="para_division">Engage and retract moves define the proper tool motions to engage and retract from the work piece. Proper engage and retract motions will help avoid unnecessary stress on the tool and will minimize dwell marks or gouging the part.</p>
      <p class="para_division"> <a class="links" href="javascript:void(0)" onclick="top.openFile('mfgmilling/thrd_mach_params.html');return(false);">Machining Parameters</a> allows you to set options that relate to the cutting tool and its interaction with the part material while cutting.
