Circular Feed Rate Compensation is an option you can check on or clear off. This option adjusts the feed rate on all circle records to maintain the feed rate at the edge of the cutter rather than at the center. The feed rate is increased when cutting around the outside of a convex corner on the part, and decreased when cutting on the inside of a concave corner. This more evenly distributes the chip load and reduces the chances of the cutter grabbing into or deflecting away from the corner material.

There are two parameters associated with Circle Feed Rate Compensation.

Maximum Circular Feed Rate Compensation Factor

These values limit the size of the compensation factor by multiplying the feed rate along an arc. For example, when you enter a maximum factor of 2.0, minimum factor of 0.1 and a programmed feed rate of 10.0, the system keeps the adjusted feed rate between 1 and 20.
