      <p class="para_topic">Break Chip generates a simulated Break Chip drilling cycle at each selected CL-point. The Break Chip drilling cycle is identical to a Peck Drilling cycle with the following exception: after each drilling increment, instead of generating a full retract motion out of the hole and a return motion back to a Distance above the previous depth, the system generates a Retract motion to a point that is the Distance above the current depth.</p>
      <p class="para_topic">The system generates the following specific tool motions:</p>
      <ol type="1" start="1">
         <li>
            <p class="para_item">Moves the tool along the tool axis at the Cycle Feed Rate to the first intermediate increment.</p>
         </li>
         <li>
            <p class="para_item">Moves the tool back from the current position at the Retract Feed Rate to a clearance point above the current depth, defined by the Distance prompt. (see the caution below.)</p>
         </li>
         <li>
            <p class="para_item">Resumes motion at the Cycle Feed Rate to the next intermediate depth.</p>
            <p class="para_item">This series of motions continues until the specified hole depth is reached, at which point the system removes the tool from the hole to the operational clearance point at the Retract Feed Rate.</p>
         </li>
         <li>
            <p class="para_item">Positions the tool to subsequent operational clearance points at the Rapid Feed Rate.</p>
         </li>
      </ol>
      <p class="para_topic">At the Distance prompt, you must enter a non-zero value to define the clearance distance between successive drilling increments. (See the CAUTION below.) You must enter this value even if no intermediate increments are desired.</p>

                  <p class="para_warning_body">  CAUTION: The system accepts a negative value for the Distance. A negative value, however, causes the system to generate a GOTO/ motion to a point which is below the current hole depth. This might have a detrimental effect on your tool or part.</p>
