      <p class="para_topic">Here you define which items are to be considered in your search in the Search Criteria Dialog. This is a fully customizable dialog (see Customizing the Search Criteria Dialog). The following is an explanation of the most commonly found items in the dialog.</p>

               <p class="para_td">The ASCII database is divided into English and metric units. Here you may select which you would like to use.</p>

               <p class="para_td">Result Info provides you with an information window which lists all the parameters which appear in the Search Criteria Dialog and their values. This function is not available until Count Matches has been performed.</p>

               <p class="para_td">By pressing the Count Matches button, the system will return the number of items in the database which match the search criteria which you have entered. If you enter no search criteria, pushing the Count Matches button will return the number of all the items in that subclass.</p>

      </table><br><div class="title_division">Additional Search Criteria</div><a name="com_opts_com_lib_search_crit_add_search_crit"></a><p class="para_division">You can input an entire query string in this field. Each query string consists of a series of search criteria which are joined by logical operators &quot;and&quot; (&amp;&amp;) and &quot;or&quot; ( || ). These search strings must follow an exact syntax. For example:</p>

      <p class="para_division">[DB(Diameter)] &lt; [.5] &amp;&amp; [DB(Diameter)] &gt; [0.2]</p>
      <p class="para_division">would produce a range of values where the diameter lies between 0.2 and 0.5 mm.</p>
      <div class="title_division">Range of Values</div>
      <p class="para_division">When inputting information into the Search Criteria Dialog, the system allows you to input a range of values. The syntax for these ranges is as follows:</p>
