      <p class="para_topic">With ZLevel Reference Tool, you can finish-mill corners using Z level cuts. The cuts are similar to ZLevel Profile operations, but limited only to corner areas that a previous tool could not reach due to its diameter and corner radius.</p>

      <p class="para_topic">The remaining material may be between the walls and floors due to tool-corner radius, or between the walls due to tool diameter. &nbsp;The cut is similar to other ZLevel Milling, however, it is limited to these corner areas.</p>
      <p class="para_topic">The reference tool is typically the tool you used to previously rough out the area. The system calculates the rest of the material left by the specified reference tool and then defines the cut regions for the current operation. </p>

      <div class="title_division">Overlap Distance</div>
      <p class="para_division">Overlap Distance enables you to extend the width of the area defined by the Reference Tool Diameter along the tangent surfaces. Overlap Distance is available only if Reference Tool Offsets is specified.</p>
      <div class="title_division">Steep Corners</div>
      <p class="para_division">You may further limit the cut regions to the steep corners by specifying a steep angle. If you specify a steep angle, the system only cuts the steep corner areas between the walls contained by the specified steep angle. This is illustrated in the figure below.</p>

      <p class="para_division">You can extend the cut regions by specifying an overlap distance. If you specify an overlap distance, the system extends the tool path on the corner areas between the walls along its tangential direction for the distance specified. </p>

                  <p class="para_note">The figure below illustrates a situation where both corners are not cut to the same lowest level. The system does not machine the one on the right all the way down. This is because when the system uses the reference tool to find the corners and determine the cut area, it contacts something else (the little pad) before it touches the floor in the corner. </p>

      <p class="para_division">Reference Tool complements the use of Flowcut, as illustrated below.</p>

            <p class="para_item">To create a new ZLevel operation that uses Reference Tool, navigate as follows:</p>
            <p class="para_item">Manufacturing &rarr; Create New Operation &rarr; Mill Contour &rarr; ZLevel Corner  <img align="bottom" src="graphics/zlevel_corner_lc.gif" border="0"></p>

            <p class="para_item">In the Corner Rough dialog, press the Cutting button.</p>
         </li>
         <li>
            <p class="para_item">In the Cut Parameters dialog, the Reference Tool section displays the status: &nbsp;e.g., Reference Tool: &nbsp;None. Here, you have three choices: &nbsp;Edit, Select, and Display.</p>

                  <p class="para_item">Edit allows you to make changes to your previous Reference Tool.</p>

                  <p class="para_item">Select takes you to the Select Reference Tool dialog. &nbsp;Here, you can Information, or select a new Reference Tool.</p>

                  <p class="para_item">Display allows you to see your Reference Tool.</p>

                  <p class="para_note">In cases where the difference between the Reference Tool radius and the corner radius is small, essentially, the thickness of the material that is removed is also going to be small. You may need to specify a smaller machining tolerance, or to select a larger Reference Tool to achieve better results. A smaller machining tolerance allows you to detect the smaller amounts of the remaining material, but there is a performance penalty. Choosing a larger Reference Tool might be a better choice when dealing with operations using a tight tolerance.</p>
