      <p class="para_topic">Start Events allow you to specify startup post commands for the operation by using a previously defined set of parameters or specifying a new set. You may also toggle this option on and off.</p>
      <p class="para_topic">Retrieve allows you to choose a previously defined set of startup post commands from an existing operation or template.</p>
      <p class="para_topic">Edit takes you to the User Defined Events dialog which allows define a set of startup post commands.</p>
      <p class="para_topic">The follow table contains the set of Startup Commands available for Milling, Lathe, and WireEDM operations.</p>

      </table><br><div class="title_division"> Tool Change Marker</div>
      <p class="para_division">Tool Change Marker allows you to specify where you want the system to output the tool change event. When you insert this marker into the list of commands in the Defined Functions window, the system writes the commands above the marker to the CLSF before the LOAD or TURRET command, and it writes the commands below the marker to the CLSF after the LOAD or TURRET command.</p>
      <div class="title_division">Output Load Tool</div>
      <p class="para_division">When you activate this option, the system outputs a LOAD or TURRET command in the CLS file, even if the tool has not changed. &nbsp;</p>
      <div class="title_division">Coolant On</div>
      <p class="para_division">Coolant On allows you to control coolant flow and corresponds with the COOLNT/ command.</p>
      <p class="para_division">You may specify the following:</p>
      <div class="title_division">Type</div>
      <p class="para_division">Type allows you to choose from the following options:</p>
      <ul>
         <li>
            <p class="para_item">On reinstates the previous coolant code into the next block of output. If nothing was specified before, Flood will be assumed.</p>
         </li>
         <li>
            <p class="para_item">Mist specifies mist through coolant.</p>
         </li>
         <li>
            <p class="para_item">Flood specifies flood through coolant.</p>
         </li>
         <li>
            <p class="para_item">Tap specifies tap through coolant.</p>
         </li>
      </ul>
      <div class="title_division"> Spindle Marker</div>
      <p class="para_division">Spindle Marker allows you to specify where you want the system to output the spindle event. When you insert this marker into the list of commands in the Defined Functions window, the system writes the commands above the marker to the CLSF before the SPINDL command, and it writes the commands below the marker to the CLSF after the SPINDL command.</p>
      <div class="title_division">Tool Preselect</div>
      <p class="para_division">Tool Preselect allows you to positions the tool prior to the tool change and corresponds to the SELECT/ command.</p>
      <div class="title_division">Tool Number</div>
      <p class="para_division">Tool Number allows you to enter the number of the tool that is to be loaded. This number corresponds with the Tool Number for milling tools and the Turret Face Number for lathe tools. Tool Number Active allows you to toggle Number ON and OFF.</p>
      <div class="title_division">Cutter Compensation</div>
      <p class="para_division">Cutter Compensation allows you to activate a register on the controller for cutter compensation to the right or left of the cutter path and corresponds to the CUTCOM/ command. The general purpose of cutter compensation is to adjust the cutter path to allow for variation in the cutter size.</p>
      <p class="para_division">This function can be specified in each of the three types of Post Command Sets (Startup, In-Path and End-of-Path), but has limited parameters and scope if defined in the In-Path or End-of-Path sets.</p>
      <p class="para_division">If a Cutter Compensation function is defined as a Startup command, it will be written to the CLSF based on the positioning parameters defined in the command (see below). If defined outside of a Startup post command set (In-Path or End-of-Path), positioning parameters will not be available and the command will be output to the CLSF as it was defined.</p>
      <p class="para_division">You may specify the following:</p>
      <div class="title_division">Mode</div>
      <p class="para_division">Mode allows you to choose from the following options:</p>
      <ul>
         <li>
            <p class="para_item">Off cancels any active cutter compensation.</p>
         </li>
         <li>
            <p class="para_item">On activates cutter compensation in the previously defined direction.</p>
         </li>
         <li>
            <p class="para_item">Left activates the cutter compensation register for compensation to the left of the cutter path.</p>
         </li>
         <li>
            <p class="para_item">Right activates the cutter compensation register for compensation to the right of the cutter path.</p>
         </li>
      </ul>
      <div class="title_division">On - Positioning parameter, only available for Startup Sets</div>
      <p class="para_division">Cutcom can be turned on at any of the following positions:</p>
      <p align="center"><img align="bottom" src="graphics/com_post_sfi18.gif"></p>
      <p class="para_division">The first occurrence of the CUTCOM command will be the command as defined by the user. Subsequent occurrences will be either CUTCOM/ON or CUTCOM/OFF.</p>
      <p class="para_division">For example, if CUTCOM/LEFT,2,XYPLAN is defined as a startup command, and the On placement condition is set to Before Each Engage, the entire command will be written before the first engage and a CUTCOM/ON command will be written to the CLSF before each subsequent engage. (This can be overridden by setting the Full Cutcom Output flag)</p>

      <div class="title_division">Off - Positioning parameter, only available for Startup Sets</div>
      <p class="para_division">Cutcom can be turned off at any of the following positions:</p>
      <p align="center"><img align="bottom" src="graphics/com_post_sfi17.gif"></p>
      <p class="para_division">A CUTCOM/OFF command will be output to the CLSF at each specified position. For example if CUTCOM/LEFT,2,XYPLAN is defined as a startup command, and the Off placement condition is set to Before Each Retract, a CUTCOM/OFF command will be written to the CLSF before each retract.</p>
      <div class="title_division"> Override Operation Parameter</div>
      <p class="para_division">When this is not selected the value for the cutcom register comes from the machine dialog in the operation which can in turn be inherited from the tool. This is the preferred setting.</p>
      <p class="para_division">When this is selected the value in the machine dialog is ignored and the system uses the register in this dialog. You should only use this option when you need to override the register value in the operation. </p>
      <div class="title_division">Adjust Register Status</div>
      <p class="para_division">Adjust Register Status allows you to toggle on and off the number specified for the Cutcom Adjust Register.</p>
      <div class="title_division">Cutcom Register</div>
      <p class="para_division">This sets the value for the diameter adjust register to be used in the CNC controller for this tool. This value is only used when the Override Operation Parameter is selected. For more information see the  <a class="links" href="javascript:void(0)" onclick="top.openFile('mfggeneral/parent_mill_tool_param.html');return(false);">Cutcom Register</a> section in the Milling Parameters section. 
      </p>
      <div class="title_division">Plane</div>
      <p class="para_division">Plane allows you to choose from the following options:</p>

      <p class="para_division">These options allow you to specify which plane the cutter compensation will be applied to.</p>
      <div class="title_division">Full Cutcom Output</div>
      <p class="para_division">Full Cutcom Output allows you to set a flag indicating that the full cutcom statement always be written to the CLSF. If this flag is turned on, the entire Cutcom statement will be written to the CLSF for every occurrence of a CUTCOM/ON.</p>

                  <p class="para_note_body">If a BCL CLSF is being created, this option will be set to ON and will be greyed out. A BCL CLSF must contain a full cutcom statement for each occurrence of a Cutcom On.</p>

      <p class="para_division">For example, if CUTCOM/LEFT,2,XYPLAN is defined as a startup command, the On placement condition is set to Before Each Engage, the Off placement condition is set to After Each Retract and the Full Cutcom Output flag is set to ON, the entire command will be written to the CLSF before each engage and a CUTCOM/OFF command will be written to the CLSF after each retract.</p>

      <div class="title_division">Tool Length Compensation</div>
      <p class="para_division">Tool Length Compensation allows you to select a tool offset register and corresponds to the SET/ADJUST command.</p>
      <div class="title_division"> Override Operation Parameter</div>
      <p class="para_division">When this not selected the value for the adjust register comes from the machine dialog in the operation which can in turn be inherited from the tool. This is the preferred setting.</p>
      <p class="para_division">When this is selected the value in the machine dialog is ignored and the system uses the register in this dialog. You should only use this option when you need to override the register value in the operation. </p>
      <div class="title_division">Register</div>
      <p class="para_division">Register allows you to enter the offset register that is output as the tool offset code.</p>
      <div class="title_division">Sequence Number</div>
      <p class="para_division">Sequence Number allows you to control of the sequence number output and corresponds to the SEQNO/ command.</p>
      <p class="para_division">You may specify the following:</p>
      <div class="title_division">Number Type</div>
      <p class="para_division">Number Type allows you to choose from the following options:</p>
      <ul>
         <li>
            <p class="para_item">N is the sequencing number type.</p>
         </li>
         <li>
            <p class="para_item">Off terminates the output of sequence numbers for succeeding blocks.</p>
         </li>
         <li>
            <p class="para_item">On resumes the output of sequence numbers for succeeding blocks.</p>
         </li>
         <li>
            <p class="para_item">Auto outputs the CL source record number which caused the block of output as the sequence number.</p>
         </li>
      </ul>
      <div class="title_division">Number</div>
      <p class="para_division">Number allows you to enter the number to begin the sequencing.</p>
      <div class="title_division">Increment</div>
      <p class="para_division">Increment allows you to define the increment by which the sequence number will be increased between successive blocks.</p>
      <div class="title_division">Frequency</div>
      <p class="para_division">Frequency allows you to define how often the sequence number will be output within succeeding blocks. The next sequence number will be output and succeeding sequence numbers will be output only every &quot;mth&quot; block.</p>
      <div class="title_division">Select Head</div>
      <p class="para_division">Select Head allows you to define which head is to be used for merging and corresponds to the SELECT/HEAD command.</p>
      <p class="para_division">You may specify the following:</p>
      <div class="title_division">Head Designation</div>
      <p class="para_division">Head Designation allows you to choose from the following options:</p>

      <p class="para_division">These options define the head that is to be referenced.</p>
      <div class="title_division">Clamp</div>
      <p class="para_division">Clamp allows you to clamp the rotary table and corresponds to the CLAMP/ command.</p>

      <div class="title_division">Clamp Axis</div>
      <p class="para_division">Clamp Axis allows you to choose from the following options:</p>

      <p class="para_division">These options define which axis will be clamped or unclamped.</p>
      <div class="title_division">Clamp Status</div>
      <p class="para_division">Clamp Status allows you to choose from the following options:</p>

            <p class="para_item">On closes the clamp or chuck</p>
         </li>
         <li>
            <p class="para_item">Off opens the clamp or chuck</p>
         </li>
         <li>
            <p class="para_item">Axis On closes the axis specified above.</p>
         </li>
         <li>
            <p class="para_item">Axis Off opens the axis specified above.</p>
         </li>
      </ul>
      <div class="title_division">Origin</div>
      <p class="para_division">Origin allows you to establish the location of the machine reference system zero point in relationship to the part coordinate system zero point and corresponds to the ORIGIN/ command. If an ORIGIN/ command is defined and no output markers are specified, the ORIGIN command will always precede the FROM point. This ordering can be overridden by incorporating placement markers.</p>
      <div class="title_division">Coordinates</div>
      <p class="para_division">Coordinates allow you to enter the X, Y, and Z coordinates that will define the origin.</p>
      <div class="title_division">Rotate</div>
      <p class="para_division">Rotate allows you to rotate the table or head according to the parameters defined in the Machine Data File being used when the postprocessor command is executed and corresponds to the ROTATE/ command.</p>
      <p class="para_division">You may specify the following:</p>
      <div class="title_division">Rotation Object</div>
      <p class="para_division">Rotation Object allows you to choose from the following options:</p>

      <p class="para_division">These options define the axis to be rotated.</p>
      <div class="title_division">Type</div>
      <p class="para_division">Type allows you to choose from the following options:</p>
      <ul>
         <li>
            <p class="para_item">None specifies the absolute angular position in degrees.</p>
         </li>
         <li>
            <p class="para_item">Angle specifies the absolute angular position in degrees. This corresponds to the ATANGL command.</p>
         </li>
         <li>
            <p class="para_item">Absolute specifies the absolute angular position in degrees. This corresponds with the ABSOL command.</p>
         </li>
         <li>
            <p class="para_item">Incremental specifies the incremental angle the table is to be rotated from its present position.</p>
         </li>
      </ul>
      <div class="title_division">Direction</div>
      <p class="para_division">Direction allows you to choose from the following options:</p>
      <ul>
         <li>
            <p class="para_item">None leaves the direction unspecified.</p>
         </li>
         <li>
            <p class="para_item">Clockwise defines the rotation direction to be clockwise.</p>
         </li>
         <li>
            <p class="para_item">CCLW defines the rotation motion to be counterclockwise.</p>
         </li>
      </ul>
      <div class="title_division">Rotation Angle</div>
      <p class="para_division">Rotation Angle Active allows you to toggle on and off the value you specify for Angle.</p>
      <div class="title_division">Rotref</div>
      <p class="para_division">Rotref allows you to toggle on and off whether the reference frame will be rotated. This option is provided for CLS output only, and is not supported by Post.</p>
      <div class="title_division">Set Modes</div>
      <p class="para_division">Set Modes allows you to define the dimensional output mode and the type of output under contouring mode that the postprocessor is to assume for following CL points, and corresponds to the SET/MODE command.</p>
      <p class="para_division">You may specify from the following:</p>
      <div class="title_division">Machine Mode</div>
      <p class="para_division">Machine Mode Status allows you to toggle on or off the Machine Mode.</p>
      <p class="para_division">Machine Mode allows you to choose from the following options:</p>
      <ul>
         <li>
            <p class="para_item">Mill specifies that the postprocessor will be in the mill mode.</p>
         </li>
         <li>
            <p class="para_item">Turn specifies that the postprocessor will be in the lathe mode.</p>
         </li>
         <li>
            <p class="para_item">Punch specifies that a dual mode machine such as a punch with a laser or plasma arc cutter will function in the punch mode.</p>
         </li>
         <li>
            <p class="para_item">Laser or Torch specifies that a dual mode machine such as a punch with a laser or plasma arc cutter will function in the laser or plasma arc mode.</p>
         </li>
         <li>
            <p class="para_item">Wire specifies that the postprocessor will be in wire EDM mode.</p>
         </li>
      </ul>
      <div class="title_division">Feed Rate Mode</div>
      <p class="para_division">Feed Rate Mode Status allows you to toggle on or off the Feed Rate Mode.</p>
      <p class="para_division">Feed Rate Mode allows you to choose from the following options:</p>
      <ul>
         <li>
            <p class="para_item">Off specifies that the input FEDRAT statement modifier (IPM, MMPM, IPR, MMPR) is to control the feed rate output mode.</p>
         </li>
         <li>
            <p class="para_item">Ipm or Mmpm specifies that feed rate codes are to be output as direct inches or millimeters per minute.</p>
         </li>
         <li>
            <p class="para_item">Ipr or Mmpr specifies that feed rate codes are to be output as direct inches or millimeters per revolution.</p>
         </li>
      </ul>
      <div class="title_division">Output Mode</div>
      <p class="para_division">Output Mode Status allows you to toggle on or off the Output Mode.</p>
      <p class="para_division">Output Mode allows you to choose from the following options:</p>
      <ul>
         <li>
            <p class="para_item">Absolute specifies that the postprocessor will output all motion as absolute movements from the machine coordinate system zero point.</p>
         </li>
         <li>
            <p class="para_item">Increment specifies that the postprocessor will output all motion in incremental movement from the previous position.</p>
         </li>
      </ul>
      <div class="title_division">Arc Output</div>
      <p class="para_division">Arc Mode Status allows you to toggle on or off the Arc Mode.</p>
      <p class="para_division">Arc Output allows you to choose from the following options:</p>
      <ul>
         <li>
            <p class="para_item">Linear specifies that the postprocessor will use only linear interpolation to handle contouring moves.</p>
         </li>
         <li>
            <p class="para_item">Circular specifies that the postprocessor will use linear and circular interpolation to handle contouring moves.</p>
         </li>
      </ul>
      <div class="title_division">Parallel Axis</div>
      <p class="para_division">Axis Mode Status allows you to toggle on or off the Axis Mode. These options specify that motion along tool axis will be output as &quot;Z&quot;, &quot;W&quot;, or &quot;V&quot;.</p>
      <div class="title_division">Optional Skip On</div>
      <p class="para_division">Optional Skip On allows you to control the output of a slash (/) for the BLOCK DELETE function of the controller, and corresponds to the OPSKIP/ON command.</p>
      <p class="para_division">Optional Skip On causes a slash (/) to be output in subsequent blocks on the object (control) tape.</p>
      <div class="title_division">Auxfun</div>
      <p class="para_division">Auxfun allows you to output an auxiliary function code (M code) to the machine tool controller, and corresponds to the AUXFUN/ command.</p>

      <div class="title_division">PPRINT</div>
      <p class="para_division">PPRINT allows you to print remarks on the postprocessor verification listing device, and corresponds to the PPRINT/ command. There is no need to key in PPRINT/ as this will be automatically incorporated into the text string which is output to the CLSF.</p>
      <p class="para_division">PPRINT Active allows you to toggle on and off the entered text in the PPRINT command.</p>
      <div class="title_division">User Defined</div>
      <p class="para_division">User Defined allows you to define your own post commands. This can be used to manually key in commands which are needed but are not contained in the Available Functions list.</p>
      <p class="para_division">For example:</p>
      <p class="para_division">SELECT/PALLET,4</p>
      <p class="para_division">User Defined Active allows you to toggle on and off the entered text in User Defined Command.</p>
      <div class="title_division">Operator Message</div>
      <p class="para_division">Operator Message allows you to send a message that will be displayed for the operator to read, and corresponds to the DISPLY/ command. There is no need to key in DISPLY/ as this will be automatically incorporated into the text string which is output to the CLSF.</p>
      <p class="para_division">Operator Message Active allows you to toggle on and off the entered text in Operator Message.</p>
      <div class="title_division">Goto</div>
      <p class="para_division">Goto allows you to enter a Goto point and corresponds to the MCGOTO/ command.</p>
      <p class="para_division">You may specify the following:</p>
      <div class="title_division">Coordinates</div>
      <p class="para_division">Coordinates allows you to enter the XC,YC, and ZC coordinates (in the WCS) of the Goto point.</p>
      <div class="title_division">Feedrate</div>
      <p class="para_division">This is the feed rate to be assigned to the GOTO.</p>
      <div class="title_division">Feed Unit</div>
      <p class="para_division">This is the unit with which the above feed rate is output.</p>
      <div class="title_division">Tool Axis</div>
      <p class="para_division">Tool Axis Output allows you to toggle on and off the Tool Axis output.</p>
      <p class="para_division">Tool Axis allows you to enter I, J, and K vectors to be associated with the Goto point.</p>
      <div class="title_division">Wire Guides</div>
      <p class="para_division">Wire Guides sets the upper and lower wire guide positions and corresponds to the SET/ command.</p>
      <p class="para_division">Wire Guides is set in the WireEDM module's Move Control dialog using the values specified for Upper Plane and Lower Plane.</p>
      <div class="title_division">Thread Wire</div>
      <p class="para_division">Thread Wire allows you to execute an EDM wire threading sequence, and corresponds to the LOAD/WIRE command.</p>
      <div class="title_division">Power</div>
      <p class="para_division">Power allows you to set the power level by entering a value for Power Register and corresponds to the POWER/ command.</p>
      <div class="title_division">Flush</div>
      <p class="para_division">Flush allows you to control the flushing cycle, and corresponds to the FLUSH/ command.</p>
      <p class="para_division">You may specify the following:</p>

      <p class="para_division">Flush Type allows you to choose from the following options:</p>

      <div class="title_division">Guide</div>

      </ul>
      <div class="title_division">Pressure</div>

      <p class="para_division">Feed Rate allows you to control the feed rate by entering a value in the Feed Rate Register, and corresponds to the FEDRAT/ command.</p>
      <div class="title_division">Wire Angle</div>
      <p class="para_division">Wire Angle allows you to define the wire angle constant, and corresponds to the STAN/ command.</p>
      <p class="para_division">You may specify the following:</p>
      <div class="title_division">Slope</div>
      <p class="para_division">Slope allows you to enter a value for the wire angle measured perpendicular to the direction of travel looking toward the direction of travel when a negative value is clockwise and a positive value is counterclockwise.</p>
      <p class="para_division">Alternately, some machines use registers to set the Slope. In this case the number you enter should be the Slope register.</p>
      <div class="title_division">Angle</div>
      <p class="para_division">Angle Active allows you to toggle on and off the Angle setting. Angle allows you to enter a value for the wire angle measured in a plane parallel to the direction of travel looking toward the part.</p>
      <p class="para_division">Alternately, some machines use registers to set the Angle. In this case the number you enter should be the Angle register.</p>
      <div class="title_division">FROM Marker</div>
      <p class="para_division">FROM marker is a list insert that allows you to specify post command output relative to the FROM point. When you insert this marker into the list of commands in the Defined Functions window, the commands above the marker will be written to the CLSF before the From Point and the commands below it will be written to the CLSF after the From Point.</p>
