      <p class="para_topic">Stock is the material that will be left on the in-process workpiece after you complete an operation. </p>
      <p class="para_topic">To set stock values, open the stock dialog as follows:</p>
      <ul>
         <li>
            <p class="para_item">choose Stock from the machining parameters in the operation dialog or</p>
         </li>
         <li>
            <p class="para_item">double click on the method in the Method View of the Operation Navigator. If you choose this method, all values you enter are inherited to subsequent operations of that method at the operation level.</p>
         </li>
      </ul>
      <p class="para_topic">The options for stock vary according to cut method. The options available are as follows:</p>

      </table><br><p class="para_topic">For each of these types of stock you can enter either a stock equidistant to all elements or individual values for face and radial geometries.</p>

      <p class="para_topic">The finish/profile stock parameters take effect during finish/profile cuts only, whereas the system applies the rough stock settings exclusively to rough cuts and the optionally included cleanup work. If you define a custom stock value for the boundary or any of its segments, the system applies the operation stock in addition to the member stock/offset defined on top of the custom value.</p>
      <p class="para_topic">When adding stock to a conical surface (one that is neither axial or radial), the software applies a combination of the face and radial stock values.</p>

                  <p class="para_note_body">When applying stock to a groove, the sum of all stock added to both walls plus the tool width (diameter) must be less that the width of the groove.</p>
