      <p class="para_topic">Create multiple passes as follows:</p>

         <li>
            <p class="para_item">Ensure that the operation dialog contains the customizable items required for this procedure. They are <b class="uiTerm">Cut Depth</b> and <b class="uiTerm">Alternate Passes for Cut Depth</b>.

            <p class="para_item">In the <b class="uiTerm">Multiple Passes</b> section of the dialog, select <b class="uiTerm">Cut Depth</b>.
            </p>
         </li>
         <li>
            <p class="para_item">Select the appropriate method for calculating multiple passes. The options are:</p>
            <ul>
               <li>
                  <p class="para_item"><b class="uiTerm">Constant</b> &ndash; Specify a constant cut depth for each pass. After the first pass, the system creates a series of passes equal in depth. The first pass can be less than the depth you specify, but it will never be greater. The constancy of the depth of these passes is greater if the IPW corresponds to an equidistant curve of the part profile.
                  </p>
               </li>
               <li>
                  <p class="para_item"><b class="uiTerm">No. of Passes</b> &ndash; Specify the number of passes the system should make. The system automatically computer the resulting depth of cut for each pass. If the in-process shape of the workpiece corresponds to an equidistant curve of the part profile, then this method provides multiple passes at equal cut depth including the very first pass.
                  </p>
               </li>
               <li>
                  <p class="para_item"><b class="uiTerm">Individual</b> &ndash; Specify a series of passes to be made at differing cut depths. If the system needs to adapt the cut depth of a pass, it adapts the first pass in the list, since the passes closest to the part surface (lowest in the list) are the most critical ones. 
                  </p>
               </li>
            </ul>
         </li>
         <li>
            <p class="para_item">If you chose <b class="uiTerm">Individual</b> in the previous step:
            </p>
            <ol type="a" start="1">
               <li>
                  <p class="para_item">Select <b class="uiTerm">Settings</b>. The Individual Cut Depth dialog opens.
                  </p>
               </li>
               <li>
                  <p class="para_item">Enter the desired number of cuts and cutting depth for each set of passes.</p>
               </li>
               <li>
                  <p class="para_item">Confirm your selections with <b class="uiTerm">OK</b>.
                  </p>
               </li>
            </ol>
         </li>
         <li>
            <p class="para_item">If you want the system to change directions after each pass, making each successive pass in the opposite direction to its predecessor pass, select <b class="uiTerm">Alternate</b>. 
            </p>

                        <p class="para_warning_body">Do not confuse this option with the <b class="uiTerm">Alternate</b> option in spring passes, which provides the same direction-changing function for spring passes.

      <p class="para_topic">If you activate both multiple and spring passes, the system ensures that all spring passes are performed.</p>
