<h1 CLASS=ChapName>GPM and MDFG Postprocessor Commands</h1>

<p CLASS=Paragraph>This section contains:</p>

<ul>

	<li class=kadov-p-CListBullet><p CLASS=ListBullet>An overview of GPM
 postprocessor commands.</p></li>

	<li class=kadov-p-CListBullet><p CLASS=ListBullet>The required formatting
 conventions for inserting postprocessor commands in a tool path.</p></li>

	<li class=kadov-p-CListBullet><p CLASS=ListBullet>The postprocessor
 commands and their associated parameters that can be activated in the
 GPM (i.e., <span style="font-style: italic;">valid</span> <span style="font-style: italic;">postprocessor
 words</span>).</p></li>
</ul>

<h2>Overview</h2>

<p CLASS=Paragraph>There are two ways that you can insert postprocessor
 commands (i.e., major and <span style="font-style: italic;">minor</span>
 words) and their associated parameters in a tool path.</p>

<ol>

	<li class=kadov-p-CListNum><p CLASS=ListNum>using the <span style="font-weight: bold;">Machine
 Control</span> option.</p></li>

	<li class=kadov-p-CListNum><p CLASS=ListNum>using the <span style="font-weight: bold;">Edit</span>
 option in the Manufacturing Application.</p></li>

	<li class=kadov-P-CNote><p CLASS=Note><span style="font-weight: bold;">NOTE:
 </span>If you use the <span style="font-weight: bold;">Machine Control</span>
 option, NX inserts the command following the required format conventions
 automatically. If you use the <span style="font-weight: bold;">Edit</span>
 option, <span style="font-style: italic;">you</span> must insert the command
 and follow the required format conventions.</p></li>
</ol>

<p CLASS=Paragraph>The next section describes those conventions. You need
 to understand these requirements when you use the <span style="font-weight: bold;">Edit</span>
 option to insert commands in a tool path.</p>

<p CLASS=Paragraph>Following the next section is a description of all the
 commands and their associated parameters that the GPM will accept. Also
 included with the command description are usage considerations pertaining
 to the command.</p>

<p CLASS=Paragraph>After you select a command, you have the option of making
 the command valid or invalid.</p>

<p CLASS=ListBulletTxt>If you choose to make the command valid you then
 have further options. These other options are documented with the command
 in the following sections</p>

<p CLASS=ListBulletTxt>If you choose to make the command invalid you can
 either choose whether to have a warning output in the postprocessor output.</p>

<p CLASS=Paragraph
	style="margin-bottom: 0;">The command format for both Standard APT
 and ISO 4343 CL file formats are documented in this online help. </p>
