      <p class="para_topic">When you retrieve a tool from NX Library, it can optionally have an associated part file which the system uses to display the tool in the graphics window. This is usually an assembly of the components used to make up the tool. </p>
      <p class="para_topic">By default, the system includes about twenty examples. If you add your own tools to the library, you can create assembly part files for each one. </p>
      <p class="para_topic">Create a tool assembly part file as follows:</p>
      <ol type="1" start="1">
         <li>
            <p class="para_item">Create a part file for the tool. The part file name must be the same as the libref of the tool in the tool database. For example, the graphics for the tool called ugt0201_096 are contained in a file called ugt0201_096.prt.</p>
         </li>
         <li>
            <p class="para_item">Model the tool in Modelling. You can create a simple part or an assembly part. When using this tool with Teamcenter Integration, all components in the assembly must be of type Master.</p>
         </li>
         <li>
            <p class="para_item">Orient the tool holder along the X-axis of the WCS.</p>
         </li>
         <li>
            <p class="para_item">Add the following part attribute to the part file:</p>

            <p class="para_item">Place any auxiliary geometry (e.g., datum planes, curves) on layer 100 as this is blanked during visualization.</p>

            <p class="para_item">For turning tools and drilling tools, place 2D curves describing insert geometry on layer 2. The Turning system requires this for in-process workpiece and collision detection calculations. You can place more than one insert shape on layer 2, but they cannot overlap.</p>
