      <p class="para_topic">The Class Hierarchy is that section of the  <a class="links" href="javascript:void(0)" onclick="top.openFile('mfggeneral/com_lib_config_lib.html');return(false);">definition (.def) file</a> that reflects the structure of your data in the database and determines which attributes will be included in the Search Criteria and Search Result dialogs. The Class Hierarchy section of the definition file is found at the end of the file.
      </p>
      <p class="para_topic">The Class Hierarchy is made up of a list of types and subtypes. Both types and subtypes have the same format. &nbsp;The inclusion of a type in a superior type makes a type a subclass. </p>
      <p class="para_topic">An example of a subtype is as follows:</p>

               <p class="para_td">In this line you designate whether this entry will be a type or a subclass. For a type the parameter would read:</p>

               <p class="para_td">For a subtype the parameter is:</p>
               <p class="para_td">&quot;[DB(SubType)] == [xx]&quot;, where xx is the Library subtype number found in the  <a class="links" href="javascript:void(0)" onclick="top.openFile('mfggeneral/com_lib_map_new_classes.html');return(false);">mapping table</a>.

               <p class="para_td">If you are using Teamcenter Engineering as your database, xx is the class id of the class you create in the Classification Administration Module. </p>

               <p class="para_td">This refers to the graphic for icons that appear in the search criteria and search result dialogs. If you wish to include your own graphics, you must specify the complete path information to the graphic. These graphics must use the .bmp format.</p>
