      </table><br><p class="para_topic">Four Axis Wire Frame Geometry requires an upper and lower boundary to generate a tool path. You must define the lower boundary (the boundary with the smaller ZM value). The system automatically finds the corresponding upper boundary. For the system to do this, each lower boundary member must have two connecting side edges and one upper curve (quadrilateral), as illustrated below. The connecting side edges must be linear. The WireEDM processor cannot position to a non-linear side edge. &nbsp;A non-linear side edge may be formed when a solid body is united with or subtracted from another body. &nbsp;</p>
      <p class="para_topic">When the wire EDM processor detects a non-linear edge, the system generates the following warning: Non-linear side edge detected, this may cause gouge near the edge.</p>
      <p class="para_topic">The edges or lines must contain no gaps greater than the chaining tolerance. If the system cannot determine if two curves intersect, you can use the chaining tolerance. The connecting side edge must form an angle greater than 45 degrees with respect to the boundary plane. &nbsp;</p>

                  <p class="para_note_body">The boundary plane is parallel to the <b class="uiTerm">XY</b> plane of the <b class="uiTerm">MCS</b>  through a point along the first member of the selected geometry. The boundary initially displays at the MCS plane, but if it is hidden until after object creation; it displays parallel to the MCS XY plane, through a point on the first selection.

      <p class="para_topic">The system generates the following error message if it cannot determine the top and bottom boundaries and their side edges: Missing top edges.</p>
      <p class="para_topic">If the system cannot find a valid upper boundary from the lower boundary, it assumes the selected boundary is the upper boundary and tries to find a lower boundary from the connecting edges. If your side edges are not vertical, unpredictable results may occur.</p>
