      <p class="para_topic">The Part Surface is the place at which the cutter engages the material. The Part Surface can be an existing face or a generic plane. If you do not define a Part Surface, or if you cancel it, the implicit Part Surface at each point is the plane perpendicular to the tool axis in which the point lies.</p>

      <div class="title_division">Selection Type</div>
      <p class="para_division">Selection Type allows you to specify the Part Surface plane by using one of the following options:</p>

      <div class="title_division">Face</div>
      <p class="para_division">When you choose the Face option, you can specify a solid face by entering the Face Name in the text field, or by selecting it in the graphics display area.</p>
      <p class="para_division">When you use a planar face to define the part surface, the operation maintains the associativity to the planar face. If the face gets deleted, the part surface becomes undefined and the path name will be added to the List Edited Operations in Domain listing.</p>
      <p class="para_division">The message Part Surface Deleted will be displayed if you try to edit the operation. You must respecify the part surface before regenerating the path.</p>
      <div class="title_division">Generic Plane</div>
      <p class="para_division">The Generic Plane option allows you to define the Floor plane using one of the Plane Subfunction methods.</p>
      <div class="title_division">ZC Plane</div>
      <p class="para_division">The ZC Plane option provides a quick method of defining the Part Surface plane perpendicular to the ZC axis of the WCS. Enter the desired distance, relative to the XC/YC plane of the WCS, in the text field.</p>
      <div class="title_division">None</div>
      <p class="para_division">None allows you to remove a previously specified Part Surface plane.</p>
      <div class="title_division">Display</div>
      <p class="para_division">The Display option causes the system to redisplay the plane symbol and/or the solid face indicator representing the Part Surface plane.</p>
      <div class="title_division">Information</div>
      <p class="para_division">The Information option provides a text listing of the data related to the Part Surface plane and its orientation.</p>
