      <p class="para_topic"><b class="uiTerm">Cut Angle</b> rotates the tool path. The cut angle is the orientation of the cutter path with respect to the XC axis of the WCS at the time the angle was specified. <b class="uiTerm">Cut Angle</b> is used for <b class="uiTerm">Zig</b>, <b class="uiTerm">Zig-Zag</b>, and <b class="uiTerm">Zig With Contour</b> cut patterns. For <b class="uiTerm">Face Milling</b>, <b class="uiTerm">Cut Angle</b> is used for only for the <b class="uiTerm">Zig</b>, and <b class="uiTerm">Zig-Zag</b> cut patterns.

                  <p class="para_td">You specify the cut angle. The angle is measured with respect to the X axis in the XC-YC plane of the WCS, then projected to the floor plane. Before you enter an angle, it is often helpful to move the WCS so that the XC-YC plane corresponds to the cutting planes of your part.</p>
                  <p class="para_td">For <b class="uiTerm">Zig-Zag</b> cut patterns, cut angle multiples of 180 yield the same results. A 45 degree cut angle, for example, yields the same results as a 225 degree cut angle.

                  <p class="para_td">The software evaluates each cut region shape and determines an efficient cut angle that minimizes internal engage moves when cutting the region.</p>

                              <p class="para_note_body"> NOTE: In Planar Milling and Cavity Milling, after you exit the <b class="uiTerm">Cut Parameters</b> dialog box, moving the WCS will not affect the actual cut direction. The displayed cut angle value relative to the WCS will be recalculated the next time the dialog is presented. Although you key in an angle relative to the Work Coordinate System, the Cut Angle value is stored in the system relative to the Absolute Coordinate System. This allows the Cut Angle to be used in a Template for other Part files.

                  <p class="para_td"><b class="uiTerm">Longest Line</b></p>

                  <p class="para_td">Establishes the cut angle parallel to the longest line segment in the peripheral boundary. If the peripheral boundary does not contain a line segment, the software searches for the longest line segment in the interior boundaries.</p>

      </table><br><p class="para_topic">If you specify a cut angle of 45 degrees for a rectangular pocket, the tool will engage to the cutting level, trace around the corner of the pocket and start the first zig cut at a 455 angle as illustrated below. All other zig and zag cuts will be parallel to the first zig cut.</p>
