      <p class="para_topic">Offsets/End Line allows you to adjust the length of the thread. Positive offset values lengthen the thread; negative offset values shorten the thread.</p>
      <p class="para_topic">Offsets are measured along the thread angle, which depends upon the method of depth specification. Refer to  <a class="links" href="javascript:void(0)" onclick="top.openFile('mfgturning/turn_td_total_depth.html');return(false);">total depth</a>.
      </p>
      <div class="title_division">Start Offset</div>
      <p class="para_division">Enter a start offset to adjust the start point of the thread.</p>
      <div class="title_division">End Offset</div>
      <p class="para_division">Enter an end offset to adjust the end point of the thread.</p>
      <div class="title_division">Initiate End Offset from Tool</div>
      <p class="para_division">Initiate End Offset From Tool causes the system to calculate the End Offset such that the tool clears the thread. The amount of offset is based upon the tool orientation, heel and relief angles, direction of thread motion, and thread angle. Whenever you re-specify any of the above, you must also re-calculate this value by pressing Initiate End Offset from Tool.</p>
      <div class="title_division">End Line</div>
      <p class="para_division">The end line options allow you to define the end of the thread by selecting a line which intersects the crest line. The end offset value is added to this intersection point.</p>
      <div class="title_division">Crest</div>
      <p class="para_division">A positive value offsets the crest line (C) of the thread away from the part. A negative value offsets the crest line of the thread towards the part.</p>
      <p class="para_division">When the root line is not selected, the threads shift up or down without changing their angle or depth.</p>

      <p class="para_division">When the root line is selected, and a root offset is not entered, the thread angle and depth changes with the crest line offset.</p>

      <p class="para_division">A positive value offsets the root line (D) of the thread away from the part. A negative value offsets the root line of the thread towards the part. Entering a positive <b class="uiTerm">Crest</b> offset, and selecting the root line without an offset changes the thread angle and depth.

                  <p class="para_note_body">A root offset affects the thread&rsquo;s final depth. A non-zero root offset may result in a different <b class="uiTerm">Depth</b> value displayed on the main threading dialog box than the <b class="uiTerm">Depth</b> value you entered on the <b class="uiTerm">Total Depth</b> dialog box.
