<p CLASS=Paragraph>&nbsp;</p>

<h1><a NAME=load_heads></a>LOAD HEADS</h1>

<p CLASS=Paragraph>You are prompted to select one or two spindle heads.</p>

<p CLASS=Paragraph>You can specify the codes to control the spindles on
 a two headed machining center where one of the spindles is offset a constant
 distance from the other spindle. The location of the Dependent spindle
 is offset from the Independent spindle by the distances you define using
 options 7 and 8 on the above menu.</p>

<p CLASS=Paragraph>When you select <span style="font-weight: bold;">Heads</span>,
 you can select the following options.</p>

<p CLASS=ListBulletTxt><span style="font-weight: bold;">Name Of Independent
 Spindle</span> - You can select Front, Rear, Left, Right, High, Low, or
 Other (by defining your own) for the Independent spindle. If you select
 Other, you can specify either the integer word code or the text. In either
 case, the system will select the proper vocabulary word to be placed in
 the CLSF LOAD command. You can find a list of all valid words in Appendix
 A of this manual.</p>

<p CLASS=ListBulletTxt><span style="font-weight: bold;">M-code For Independent
 Spindle</span> - This option allows you to specify the M code that designates
 use of the Independent Spindle. The M code tells the controller that any
 data which follows applies to the Independent Spindle.</p>

<p CLASS=ListBulletTxt><span style="font-weight: bold;">G-code For Independent
 Spindle</span> - This option allows you to specify the G code that designates
 use of the Independent Spindle. The G code tells the controller that any
 data which follows applies to the Independent Spindle.</p>

<p CLASS=ListBulletTxt><span style="font-weight: bold;">Name Of Dependent
 Spindle</span> - You can select Front, Rear, Left, Right, High, Low, or
 Other (by defining your own) for the Dependent spindle. If you select
 Other, you can specify either the integer word code or the text. In either
 case, the system will select the proper vocabulary word to be placed in
 the CLSF LOAD command. You can find a list of all valid words in Appendix
 A of this manual.</p>

<p CLASS=ListBulletTxt><span style="font-weight: bold;">M-code For Dependent

 use of the Dependent Spindle. The M code tells the controller that any
 data which follows applies to the Dependent Spindle.</p>

<p CLASS=ListBulletTxt><span style="font-weight: bold;">G-code For Dependent
 Spindle</span> - This option allows you to specify the G code that designates
 use of the Dependent Spindle. The G code tells the controller that any
 data which follows applies to the Dependent Spindle.</p>

<p CLASS=ListBulletTxt><span style="font-weight: bold;">X Distance Independent
 To Dependent Spindle</span> - Enter a numerical value which represents
 the constant distance in X that the Dependent spindle is offset from the
 Independent Spindle.</p>

<p CLASS=ListBulletTxt><span style="font-weight: bold;">Y Distance Independent
 To Dependent Spindle</span> - Enter a numerical value which represents
 the constant distance in Y that the Dependent spindle is offset from the
 Independent Spindle.</p>

<p CLASS=ListBulletTxt><span style="font-weight: bold;">Are G Codes Required

 the GPM should output a G Code to unload tools. If you select YES indicate
 whether the GPM is to output a G Code to unload the current tool before
 it loads the next one. Some machine tools automatically unload the current
 tool before they try to load another tool. You can specify separate G
 Codes for the LARGE and SMALL Minor Words that appear in the LOAD command
 for the Independent and the Dependent Spindles.</p>

<h1><a NAME=load_tool_opts></a>LOAD/TOOL - MDFG Options</h1>

<p CLASS=Paragraph>The following options allows you define the format of
 the Word Address Character for a tool change operation code.</p>

<p CLASS=Paragraph>These options allow you to control how the GPM handles
 tool changes and how it outputs the T Codes in relation to other machine
 data.</p>

<h5>&nbsp;</h5>

<h2>Tool Change Requirements</h2>

<p CLASS=Paragraph>This option allows you to define how the GPM handles
 tool changes. You have the following options:</p>

<p CLASS=ListBulletTxt><span style="font-weight: bold;">M-code For Auto
 Tool Change</span> -This option allows you to specify whether the GPM
 should output an M Code for a tool change when it encounters a LOAD/TOOL
 command in the CLSF. This M Code initiates an automatic tool change sequence.
 Enter a numerical value which represents the M Code you want output by
 the GPM to initiate an automatic tool change operation.</p>

<p CLASS=ListBulletTxt><span style="font-weight: bold;">G-code For Auto
 Tool Change</span> -This option allows you to specify whether the GPM
 should output a G Code for a tool change when it encounters a LOAD/TOOL
 command in the CLSF. This G Code initiates an automatic tool change sequence.
 Enter a numerical value which represents the G Code you want output by
 the GPM to initiate an automatic tool change operation.</p>

<p CLASS=ListBulletTxt><span style="font-weight: bold;">Does M Code Cause
 Spindle Retraction</span> - This option allows you to specify whether
 you want to define a distance for the spindle retraction caused by the
 LOAD/TOOL M Code. Enter a numerical value which represents the distance,
 in the current units, that you want the spindle to retract when the GPM
 outputs an M Code to initiate a tool change sequence.</p>

<p CLASS=ListBulletTxt><span style="font-weight: bold;">Time For Auto Tool
 Change</span> - Enter the time, in minutes, that the machine tool should
 dwell to allow for the tool change operation.</p>

<p CLASS=ListBulletTxt><span style="font-weight: bold;">Does Tool Change
 Require A Dwell</span> - This option allows you to specify whether or
 not the GPM should output a dwell during the automatic tool change sequence.
 Enter a numerical value which represents the number of seconds of dwell
 you want during an automatic tool change operation.</p>

<p CLASS=ListBulletTxt><span style="font-weight: bold;">Code For Manual
 Tool Change</span> - Enter the T Code the GPM outputs for a manual tool
 change.</p>

<p CLASS=ListBulletTxt><span style="font-weight: bold;">Output G Code To
 Cancel Cycle</span> - Use this option to allow the GPM to output a G Code
 to cancel any active Cycle before it initiates the tool change operation.
 This code is output for any tool change, manual or automatic. The G Code
 the GPM outputs is defined in the Cycles section.</p>

<p CLASS=ListBulletTxt><span style="font-weight: bold;">Should Load/Tool
 Force Alignment Blocks</span></p>

<p CLASS=ListBulletTxt
	style="margin-left: 40px;">You have the following choices:</p>

<p CLASS=ListBulletTxt
	style="margin-left: 40px;"><span style="font-weight: bold;">Current
 Position In Tool Change Block - </span>toggles between YES and NO. YES
 causes the GPM to output the current Goto point position in the alignment
 block which follows the LOAD/TOOL command. No suppresses the output of
 the current position.</p>

<p CLASS=ListBulletTxt
	style="margin-left: 40px;"><span style="font-weight: bold;">Absol/Incr
 Mode G Code - </span>Toggles between YES and NO. YES causes the GPM to
 output the G Code for the current coordinate mode (absolute or incremental)
 in the alignment block. NO suppresses output.</p>

	style="margin-left: 40px;"><span style="font-weight: bold;">Spindl
 Speed &amp; Direction Codes If On - </span>Toggles in between YES and
 NO. YES causes the GPM to output the SPINDL speed and direction if the
 SPINDL is on. NO suppresses output.</p>

<p CLASS=ListBulletTxt
	style="margin-left: 40px;"><span style="font-weight: bold;">Cutter
 Compensation Code - </span>Toggles in between YES and NO. YES causes the
 GPM to output the code for cutter compensation G code. NO suppresses output.</p>

<p CLASS=ListBulletTxt
	style="margin-left: 40px;"><span style="font-weight: bold;">Feed Rate
 Mode G Code - </span>Toggles between YES and NO. YES causes the GPM to
 output the G Code for the current feed rate mode in the alignment block.
 NO suppresses output.</p>

<p CLASS=ListBulletTxt
	style="margin-left: 40px;"><span style="font-weight: bold;">Circle
 Plane G Code - </span>Toggles between YES and NO. YES causes the GPM to
 output the circle plane G code in the alignment block. NO suppress output.</p>

<p CLASS=ListBulletTxt
	style="margin-left: 40px;"><span style="font-weight: bold;">Motion
 G Code - </span>Toggles between YES and NO. YES causes the GPM to output
 the current motion G code in the alignment block. NO suppress output.</p>

<p CLASS=ListBulletTxt
	style="margin-left: 40px;"><span style="font-weight: bold;">Tool Length
 Adjust Code - </span>Toggles between YES and NO. YES causes the GPM to
 output the Tool Length Adjust code in the alignment block. NO suppress
 output.</p>

<p CLASS=ListBulletTxt
	style="margin-left: 40px;"><span style="font-weight: bold;">Coordinates
