      </table><br><p class="para_topic">Gouge Checking prevents the tool from violating the part geometry and check geometry. The default value is On. If the tool contains a holder definition, the gouge checking is performed with the tool and holder. If the tool gouges, a warning message is displayed:</p>

      <div class="title_figure">Choose OK to keep the motions, or choose Cancel to reject them.</div>
      <p class="para_topic">Gouge Checking is available only with the manual cut pattern. To use gouge checking, select part geometry as Part in the geometry parent group or the operation.</p>

                  <p class="para_warning_body">Do not use tapered tools in face milling. &nbsp;When the system checks for gouges and collisions, it checks only the tip diameter. &nbsp;Therefore, the taper of the tool could violate the part at some point above the face.</p>

                  <p class="para_note_body">Gouge Checking can handle only five-parameter cutters. &nbsp;T-cutters or barrel cutters aren't supported. This is also true for the gouge checker in Visualize &rarr; Replay.</p>
