      </table><br><p class="para_topic">Customize Dialog (also MB3&gt;Object&gt;Customize) allows you to specify the items (parameters, text fields, buttons, and option menus) that appear in object (operation and group) editing dialogs. The appearance of these dialogs can be customized to suit the specific needs of users at your installation. Seldomly modified parameters can be set and then removed from these dialogs so that they are invisible, while frequently modified parameters can be moved into these dialogs from lower level dialogs to become more easily accessible. When a customized operation or group template is used to create an object, not only are the Template parameters copied into the new object, but the customized object editing dialogs are also copied.</p>
      <p class="para_topic">If you are customizing multiple dialogs, use the Update Customization dialog to transfer the dialog customization from one object to another.                   <p class="para_note_body">When customizing the dialog of a surface contouring operation, you can add items from the drive method dialogs to the main dialog. If the parameters are not valid for the selected drive method, they may be confusing. If you add drive method items to the main dialog, we recommend you customize the dialog for a single drive method only. </p>

      <p class="para_topic">To do this, set the drive method, and then remove the drive method item, so that when using this you can not change drive methods. Then add all the items required for the one drive method and format the main dialog. For examples of this type of customization, look at the flowcut operations in mill_contour. To access them enter the CAM application and go to Create Operation -&rarr; mill_contour -&rarr; FLOWCUT_REF_TOOL. </p>

      <div class="title_division">Library Retrieval</div>
      <p class="para_division">When tools are retrieved from a library, the dialogs are customized based on a template called library_dialogs. There is an inch and metric version of this file in the template part directories. These parts contain tool templates for each tool type that can be retrieved from the library. If you want the dialog of the tool retrieved from the library to appear a certain way, customize the tools in these parts.</p>
