      <p class="para_topic">Simple Section allows you to create cross-sectional curves using a single section plane. The resulting cross-sectional curves lie in the section plane. Simple Section requires that you first select the solid bodies and then define a section plane.</p>

      <p class="para_division">After selecting the Simple Section button, the Body and Section Plane Definition Step buttons become available.</p>
      <p class="para_division">First, select all of the solid bodies to be sectioned. Next, define the section plane. The default section plane is the MCS XY-Plane which intersects the solid through the plane defined by the XM and YM axes. Selecting Specify Plane allows you to define any plane as the section plane using the Plane Subfunction.</p>

                  <p class="para_note_body">&nbsp;Later, when you use these cross-sectional curves to create boundaries, remember that the boundary will be created by projecting the selected section curves onto the Boundary Plane (usually the XC-YC plane). You should define the section curves using the default MCS XY-Plane which coincides with the default XC-YC Boundary Plane. By doing this, the section curves will be created in the same plane as the boundary, and like the section curves, the boundary will represent a true cross-section of the Part.</p>

      <p class="para_division">Once you have defined the section plane, select OK and the system will create a set of curves in the section plane that can then be used to make permanent or temporary boundaries.</p>
