      <p class="para_topic">The Face Selection options enable you to specify which type of interior edges to use in creating boundaries. These options (Ignore Holes, Ignore Islands, Ignore Chamfers, Convex Edges, Concave Edges) are available only when creating boundaries from selected faces.</p>
      <div class="title_division"> Ignore Holes</div>
      <p class="para_division">Ignore Holes causes the system to ignore the holes in the face that you select to define your boundaries. If this option is toggled Off, the system creates boundaries on the selected face around each hole.</p>

      <div class="title_division"> Ignore Islands</div>
      <p class="para_division">Ignore Islands causes the system to ignore the islands in the face that you select to define your boundaries. If this option is toggled Off, the system creates boundaries on the selected face around each island.</p>

      <div class="title_figure">Ignore Islands On/Off</div>
      <p class="para_division">Ignoring holes and islands reduces processing time, especially when you are using complex solid models. Many solids contain holes that are of no consequence in developing a tool path. By allowing the processor to ignore those holes you gain processing speed. You can similarly exclude islands in roughing operations if the depth of cut permits (i.e., the tool path is not so deep so as to enter the island area).</p>

                  <p class="para_note_body"> If you wish to ignore only some of the holes or islands, toggle the Ignore option Off and delete the unwanted hole or island boundaries later using the Remove option.</p>

      <div class="title_division"> Ignore Chamfers</div>
      <p class="para_division">Ignore Chamfers enables you to specify whether or not adjacent chamfers, fillets, and rounds will be recognized when creating boundaries from selected faces. When Ignore Chamfers is toggled OFF, boundaries are created on the edges of the selected faces. When toggled ON, boundaries are created to include chamfers, fillets, and rounds adjacent to selected faces as illustrated below.</p>

      <div class="title_division">Limitations:</div>
      <ul>
         <li>
            <p class="para_item">The selected face must be planar.</p>
         </li>
         <li>
            <p class="para_item">Chamfers must not have holes or islands (as illustrated below) when using Ignore Chamfers ON. If they do, then the boundaries will not be extended to include the chamfers, but will be created on the edges of the selected faces.</p>
         </li>

            <p class="para_item">The faces adjacent to a chamfer must be perpendicular to the selected planar face (when using Ignore Chamfers ON), except for those adjacent faces that are also chamfers. If they are not perpendicular, then the boundaries will not be extended to include the chamfers, but will be created on the edges of the selected faces.</p>

            <p class="para_item">Multiple level chamfers are not recognized. Boundaries will not be extended to include the chamfers, but will be created on the edges of the selected faces.</p>

      <div class="title_division"> Convex Edges</div>
      <p class="para_division">Convex Edges allows you to control the tool position for boundary members that occur along convex edges of the selected face. This option may be set to one of the following:</p>
      <p class="para_division">On allows you to specify an On tool position for all boundary members created along convex edges. On is the default setting.</p>
      <p class="para_division">Tanto allows you to specify a Tangent tool position for all boundary members created along convex edges.</p>

      <div class="title_division"> Concave Edges</div>
      <p class="para_division">Concave Edges allows you to control the tool position for boundary members that occur along concave edges of the selected face (see the above figure). This option may be set to one of the following:</p>
      <p class="para_division">Tanto allows you to specify a tangent tool position for all boundary members created along concave edges. Tanto is the default setting.</p>
      <p class="para_division">On allows you to specify an on tool position for all boundary members created along concave edges.</p>
