<h1 CLASS=ChapName>Additional Wire EDM Information</h1>

<h1>Supported Machine Tools</h1>

<p CLASS=Paragraph>The following is a list of wire EDM machines are supported
by both the Wire EDM operation type and GPM /MDFG.</p>

<p CLASS=Paragraph
	style="margin-left: 40px;">Agiecut 100<br>
Agiecut 123<br>
Charmilles<br>
Fanuc<br>
Mitsubishi<br>
Elox *|<br>
Japax<br>
Sodic *<br>
* Requirements for these machines have not yet been established.</p>

<p CLASS=Paragraph>Wire EDM will be a generic tool for all machines. It
will be possible to support more machines, when the necessary descriptions
 are available.</p>

<h1><a NAME=coord_output></a>Postprocessor Coordinate Output</h1>

<p CLASS=Paragraph>GPM (Graphics Postprocessing Module) will process the
x and y coordinates in the tool path in order to position the lower wire
guide. If the tool path is for a four axis Wire EDM, then the tool axis
must define the tilt of the wire.</p>

<p CLASS=Paragraph>There exists two methods for this definition :</p>

<p CLASS=ListBulletTxt>U-V-Definition :</p>

<p CLASS=ListBulletTxt

<p CLASS=ListBulletTxt

<p CLASS=ListBulletTxt>Q-R-Definition :</p>

<p CLASS=ListBulletTxt
style="margin-left: 40px;">Q : The wire inclination which is perpendicular
 to the current movement.</p>

<p CLASS=ListBulletTxt
style="margin-left: 40px;">Q will be positive, if, when looking in
cutting direction, the wire must be tilted to the right on the top of
 the workpiece.</p>

<p CLASS=ListBulletTxt
style="margin-left: 40px;">R : The wire inclination which is parallel
to the current X-Y- movement. R will be positive, if the wire is tilted
 forward.</p>
