      </table><br><p class="para_topic">The Hole features that are recognized by the Feature Recognition module are described in the feature_definitions.def file. This file is located at MACH\resource\feature.</p>
      <div class="title_division">Content of &nbsp;the Definition File</div>
      <p class="para_division">The feature is described using a language developed for the Recognition module.</p>
      <p class="para_division">There are three basic geometry elements that the Recognition module understands: cylindrical faces, conical faces and planar faces. They are described in the definition files as follows:</p><pre class="indent"># definition for atoms

}</pre><p class="para_division">The cylindrical faces are described by the word CYL. The geometrical parameters that are considered for a cylindrical face are diameter and depth.</p>
      <p class="para_division">The conical faces are described by the word CONE. The geometrical parameters that are considered for a conical face are major diameter, the depth of the cone and the angle of the cone.</p>
      <p class="para_division">The planar faces are described by the word PLANE.</p>
      <p class="para_division">The three base elements can be listed in sequence to describe the hole features.</p>

      <p class="para_division">It is also possible to combine both these above descriptions to recognize compound blind and compound through holes together as one type of hole, the compound hole. </p>

The last face is planar but the additional qualification &quot;/?&quot; indicates that there can be 0 or 1 planar face. So when there is no planar face the definition will match that of the compound through hole and when there is one planar face the definition will match that of the compound blind hole.</p>
