      <p class="para_topic">If a model contains base features the Feature-Based Machining module identifies and evaluates these features according to the given pattern defined in the  <a class="links" href="javascript:void(0)" onclick="top.openFile('mfgholemaking/mach_templates.html');return(false);">Machining Feature Templates</a> section.
      </p>
      <p class="para_topic">Once these features have been identified and evaluated, the Feature-Based Machining module can be used to group these features into feature groups based on their feature name and parameters. </p>
      <p class="para_topic">These features and their parameters are given in the tables below. </p>

      </table><br><p class="para_division">* Currently there is no process template subtype for cylindrical pockets. However, this feature is valid for Holemaking. Once this feature is in a feature group, you can use Holemaking and Hole Milling operations to machine this feature.</p>
      <p class="para_division">The parameter names in parentheses might be left out when the feature is modeled as a through hole.</p>
      <div class="title_division">Symbolic Thread</div>
      <p class="para_division">Once a symbolic thread is linked to one of the three base features, it is considered a new feature according to the base feature type. </p>
      <p class="para_division">SYMBOLIC_THREAD on a SIMPLE_HOLE results in THREADED_SIMPLE_HOLE, on a COUNTER_BORE_HOLE it results in THREADED_COUNTER_BORE_HOLE and on a COUNTER_SUNK_HOLE it results in THREADED_COUNTER_SUNK_HOLE. The set of parameters is then a combination of both features.</p>
