      <p class="para_topic">Selecting Edit from the list brings up the Tool Path Editor dialog. This dialog is described in the following sections. </p>
      <p class="para_topic">The Tool Path Editor allows you to make corrections or modifications to a generated tool path through the graphical display window and other dialog options. The Tool Path Editor will display graphical feedback as you insert, modify and delete tool path commands.</p>

                  <p class="para_warning_body">Once modifications have been made to the tool path by using the Tool Path Editor, the tool path will lose its associativity.</p>

      <p class="para_topic">The Tool Path Editor will allow you to perform gouge checking on all NX CAM-supported milling and drilling tool types as well as tool holders. This allows you to analyze the tool path for part gouging.</p>
      <p class="para_topic">The Tool Path Editor will allow you to animate the tool motion as it follows the tool path. You will be able to let the tool run along the tool path, either forwards or backwards, or step through the tool path a motion at a time.</p>
      <p class="para_topic">To edit in the Tool Path Editor, you need to follow these basic steps:</p>
      <ul>
         <li>
            <p class="para_item">Select the part of the tool path you want to edit.</p>
         </li>
         <li>
            <p class="para_item">Choose the type of edit to be performed.</p>
         </li>
         <li>
            <p class="para_item">Define the parameters needed for the edit.</p>
         </li>
      </ul>

      <div class="title_division">Tool Path Text</div>
      <p class="para_division">The first area of the Tool Path Editor dialog allows you to select commands from a text listing or the Graphical Display window and allows you to control some of the listing and display features in the Tool Path Editor.</p>
      <div class="title_division">Graphical Display</div>
      <p class="para_division">The Graphical Display window will display the tool path of the operation to be edited. The tool path in the Graphical Display window will be selectable and can be used to highlight parts of the tool path for editing. You can select any of the cutter location points with the cursor. When the location has been selected, the tool will automatically display at the cutter location point and the corresponding GOTO point will be highlighted in the Text Information Window.</p>
      <div class="title_division">Text Listing</div>
      <p class="para_division">The Text Information Window lists the tool path for the operation you are editing. From this listing, you can select parts of the tool path to be edited. Text can be selected in the Text Information Window using the following methods:</p>
      <ul>
         <li>
            <p class="para_item">You can use MB1 to select a single text line. If the line corresponds to a tool motion then the tool will be displayed at this location. For other types of events, the tool will be moved to the tool motion preceding the selected line.</p>
         </li>
         <li>
            <p class="para_item">You can use Control-MB1 to select text in any random order from the listing. It will also allow you to deselect an event simply by clicking at the selected line.</p>
         </li>
         <li>
            <p class="para_item">You can drag MB1 Drag to select a range of text lines representing a set of contiguous events on the tool path.</p>
         </li>
      </ul>
      <p class="para_division">When you select a command in the Text Information Window, it will be highlighted, and the corresponding cutter location will be highlighted in the Graphical Display window. The tool will automatically be displayed at the corresponding cutter location, also.</p>
      <div class="title_division">Page Up/ Page Down</div>
      <p class="para_division">Most operation tool paths cannot fit into the Text Information Window at one time. The tool path is divided into pages that can be viewed one at a time. Page Up/Page Down allows you to scroll or page through the text in the text Information Window. You can scroll to the page that you want by dragging it to the appropriate page number.</p>
      <div class="title_division">Feed Rate</div>
      <p class="para_division">Feed Rate displays the Feed Rate for the selected command.</p>
