      <div class="title_division">Minimum Depth in Plunge Roughing</div>
      <p class="para_division">Use the Minimum Depth option to suppress plunges at stepovers too close to the previous plunge. This is useful when  <a class="links" href="javascript:void(0)" onclick="top.openFile('mfgturning/turn_r_narrow_groove.html');return(false);">cutting a narrow groove</a> or when suppressing the last narrow cut in a groove as shown in the figure below.

      <p class="para_division">In certain situations in grooving you may want to suppress a portion of the plunge cuts when they become too short. You can see this in the following situation:</p>

      <div class="title_figure">Plunge Roughing on a Cut Region with Uneven Lengths</div>
      <p class="para_division">Here the cuts required to remove material from the groove become so short that it is no longer effective to continue with a plunge cutting strategy. In order to suppress these many small cuts, set an appropriate Minimum Length and ensure that  <a class="links" href="javascript:void(0)" onclick="top.openFile('mfgturning/06topic_25.html');return(false);">Additional Profiling</a> is toggled to on. The resulting cut appears as follows, where the system automatically removes the remaining material with a profiling cut as shown in red.

The first plunge is always generated.
