      <p class="para_topic"> <img align="bottom" src="graphics/ico_t_create_method.gif" border="0"> Clicking the Create Method icon brings up the Create Method dialog. The Create Method dialog allows you to create machining Method Parent Groups used in various operation types. The Types that are available are determined from the Machining Environment parameters that have been selected. The Type determines the Subtype of methods that are available for selection.

      <p class="para_topic">The Create Method dialog options are explained below.</p>
      <ul>

            <p class="para_item">The Type drop down list allows you to select the type of machining for this Method Parent.</p>
         </li>
         <li>
            <p class="para_item">The Type determines the Subtype, a more specific type of machining, for in this Method Parent. </p>
         </li>
      </ul>
      <p class="para_topic">The breakdown of the Subtypes that are found within the Types are as follows.</p>

            <p class="para_item">The Parent Group drop down list box allows you to select previously defined Method Groups. The method you are creating is assigned to the Method Group you select. </p>
         </li>
         <li>
            <p class="para_item">The Name field allows you to choose your own name for the Method Group, helping you to organize your program in a way that works for you. </p>
         </li>
      </ul>
      <p class="para_topic">After setting the Create method dialog options (Type, Subtype, Parent Group, and Name), selecting OK displays the Parent Group type dialog, based on the subtype selection. For example, if your Subtype selection was MILL_METHOD, then the MILL_METHOD dialog would be displayed. You would then select the various options that would be assigned to the Parent Group, MILL_METHOD.</p>

                  <p class="para_note_body">Many of the CAM setups include predefined methods. You can use these as they are, or you can customize. For example, the mill_contour template has methods Mill_Rough, Mill_Semi-Finish, and Mill_Finish. You can create new operations in these groups to inherit different stock values. </p>
