      <p class="para_topic">Select the <b class="uiTerm">Export Holder to Library</b> button to export the tool holder to the tool holder library.

      <p class="para_topic"> The software uses the current value of the <b class="uiTerm">Library Reference</b> (<b class="literalText">libref</b>) field to identify the holder data in the library. You can also add a description of the tool holder that is saved with the tool holder.

                  <p class="para_note_body">This button is a customizable item on the tool dialog. To see this option in the tool dialog, right-click on the tool in the <b class="uiTerm">Operation Navigator</b> and choose <b class="uiTerm">Object</b> &rarr; <b class="uiTerm">Customize from</b> and update the dialog item from the current template; or customize the dialogs and add the option. For more information, see <a class="links" href="javascript:void(0)" onclick="top.openFile('mfggeneral/cust_intro.html');return(false);">Customizing Dialogs Overview</a>.

      <p class="para_topic">If you create a holder from scratch (without previously retrieving a holder from the library) and do not enter a <b class="literalText">libref</b>, the software automatically generates a unique library reference value. Following the export, the software-generated <b class="literalText">libref</b> is displayed in the <b class="uiTerm">Library Reference</b> field. If the current holder <b class="literalText">libref</b> already exists in the library, you must either replace the existing definition or create a new holder. If you select <b class="uiTerm">Replace</b> and no data differs from the data in the dialog, the holder is not exported.
