      <div class="title_division">Modifying a Template</div>
      <p class="para_division">To modify a template follow the instructions under  <a class="links" href="javascript:void(0)" onclick="top.openFile('mfgholemaking/mach_access_temp.html');return(false);">Accessing The Templates</a> to open a base template that comes with the system. Apply the existing machining feature template to your own part and change the names of the feature groups, add/remove operations and adjust the parameters and tool queries. However, this requires that your own features match the ones in the Holemaking template: Base Features, tagged objects (CAM_FEATURE_NAME), parameter names, etc. 
      </p>
      <p class="para_division">If this is not the case, use the instructions below in Creating a Template to modify the subtype template, customizing it to your machining needs.</p>
      <div class="title_division">Creating a Template</div>
      <p class="para_division">To create new templates you must use hole_making.prt or mill_feature.prt as a base template. These templates are located in the directories shown below depending on what units the part file is in.</p>

                  <p class="para_note_body">  When creating Holemaking templates keep in mind you only have to create one template. Within each template is one subtype for each type of hole. For example, in the template you do not have to create one subtype for .250 in. simple holes, and another subtype for .500 in. simple holes. You only have to create one subtype for simple holes.</p>

                  <p class="para_note_body">The same is valid for feature milling templates where one subtype can cover various sizes of a particular milling feature type. However, milling features are often more generalized. For instance, the system does not yet distinguish between an open pocket and a closed pocket. Therefore, you have to create two process specific template subtypes for each type as the process may vary. </p>
