      <p class="para_topic"> <img align="bottom" src="graphics/ico_t_create_tool.gif" border="0"> Clicking the Create Tool dialog icon brings up the Create Tool dialog. The Create Tool dialog allows you to create tools used in various operation types. 
      </p>
      <p class="para_topic">The Create Tool Dialog options are explained below.</p>
      <ul>
         <li>
            <p class="para_item">The Types of tools that are available are determined from the Machining Environment parameters that were previously selected. </p>
         </li>
         <li>
            <p class="para_item">The Type determines the Subtype or class of tools that are available for selection.</p>
         </li>
         <li>
            <p class="para_item">Select the Subtype and click OK or Apply</p>
         </li>
         <li>
            <p class="para_item">Enter parameters and click OK</p>
         </li>
      </ul>
      <p class="para_topic">You can also retrieve tools from the library. </p>
      <ul>
         <li>
            <p class="para_item">Notice the availability of the Retrieve tool icon  <img align="bottom" src="graphics/setup_retoolicon.gif" border="0">. This icon allows the selection of previously defined drilling, milling and turning tools located within tool libraries. 
            </p>
         </li>
         <li>
            <p class="para_item">Selecting this icon and clicking OK brings up the Library Class Selection dialog.</p>
         </li>
         <li>
            <p class="para_item">Selecting the class of tool from this dialog brings up the Search Criteria dialog. This dialog is used to set parameters when searching for a particular tool.</p>
         </li>
         <li>
            <p class="para_item">Enter the search parameters for the tool you are looking for and click OK. The Search Result list box is displayed showing the tools that meet your criteria. </p>
         </li>
         <li>
            <p class="para_item">Select the tools to use in the NC program and click OK.</p>
         </li>
      </ul>

                  <p class="para_note_body">In CAM, object names may contain only letters, numbers, periods, underscores, and dashes. If the libref of a retrieved tool starts with an invalid character, it is preceded with &quot;X&quot;, and all blanks and invalid characters are replaced with underscores.</p>
