      <p class="para_topic">The cutting paramater, Cut Direction, is common to Planar Milling, Cavity Milling, Zlevel Milling, and Face Milling.</p>
      <p class="para_topic">Cut Direction includes Climb Cut, Conventional Cut, Forward, Reverse, and Mixed Cut Direction. &nbsp;</p>
      <p class="para_topic">Cut Direction allows you to specify the cut direction using one of four methods.</p>

                  <p class="para_note_body">For Zlevel, the Cut Parameters dialog contains Climb, Conventional, and Mixed cut direction options:</p>

      <p class="para_topic">Climb/Conventional - the system calculates the direction of cut based on boundary direction and the tool spindle direction in order to comply with the desired setting. &nbsp;</p>

      <p class="para_topic">Forward indicates that the cut is to be made in the direction in which you selected the boundary members. Reverse cuts in the opposite direction. Forward and Reverse are available only in Planar Mill. &nbsp;For some boundary geometry, you can use Forward and Reverse based on the direction of the boundary. &nbsp;Most often, Forward and Reverse is used on an open boundary.</p>

      <p class="para_division">Use Mixed Cut Direction to alternate cut direction from level to level. &nbsp;In addition to Climb and Conventional Cut, you also can alternate cut directions from level to level by cutting forward and backwards. &nbsp;&nbsp;For an open region where you are cutting one wall (see figure 5 below), the result is that you can cut downward in a zig zag fashion, avoiding a lot of traversal moves between the levels.</p>
