      <p class="para_topic">In order to simulate operations on a machine tool, you need to define the geometry of that machine as an assembly part file. Because each moving part will be assigned kinematics, you must model each part separately, then reference each of these parts in the assembly part. </p>
      <p class="para_topic">The following example shows how to define a horizontal five-axis machine with both rotary motions in the table. We will call this new machine my_machine_tool. The machine appears as follows:</p>

      <p class="para_topic">To define the five-axis machine tool for use in simulation, follow these steps:</p>
      <ol type="1" start="1">
         <li>
            <p class="para_item"> <a class="links" href="javascript:void(0)" onclick="top.openFile('mfgisv/mfgisv_setup_org_data.html');return(false);">Organizing data</a>. In this step, you create the file structure for your machine.
            </p>
         </li>

            <p class="para_item"> <a class="links" href="javascript:void(0)" onclick="top.openFile('mfgisv/mfgisv_setup_def_search_direct.html');return(false);">Defining search directories</a>. You must specify where to find the machine tool files in the <b class="uiTerm">Load Options</b>.

         </li>

            <p class="para_item"> <a class="links" href="javascript:void(0)" onclick="top.openFile('mfgisv/mfgisv_setup_assign_kinematics.html');return(false);">Creating the kinematics model</a>. The <b class="uiTerm">Machine Tool Builder</b> assists you in assigning movement to the necessary machine components.
            </p>

            <p class="para_item"> <a class="links" href="javascript:void(0)" onclick="top.openFile('mfgisv/mfgisv_setup_class_setup.html');return(false);">Creating the setup</a>. The setup holds the part, blank and fixtures of what you are machining.
            </p>

            <p class="para_item"> <a class="links" href="javascript:void(0)" onclick="top.openFile('mfgisv/mfgisv_setup_creating_juncts.html');return(false);">Creating junctions</a>. This is necessary so the system knows where to place the part during automatic mounting.
            </p>

            <p class="para_item"> <a class="links" href="javascript:void(0)" onclick="top.openFile('mfgisv/mfgisv_setup_create_mach_axes.html');return(false);">Creating machine axes</a>. ISV uses this information to keep track of information about each movable axis on the machine tool.
