      <p class="para_topic">The Event Handler defines what action is to be taken for each event. The Event Handler allows for logic programming where you can redefine what actions take place for each event. The Event Handler provided in the standard NX installation provides generally accepted actions for most machining events and therefore does not usually need customization. We suggest that you do not customize in this file unless you require complex changes and you are experienced in Tcl.</p>
      <p class="para_topic">Customization of Shop Documentation can be done completely in the Template file, or it can be done in both the Template file and the Event Handler. But Customization cannot be done completely in the Event Handler.</p>
      <p class="para_topic">Unlike the Template file, the Event Handler contains only valid Tcl commands. These can be standard Tcl commands or MOM extensions to Tcl. The Event Handler gives additional support to the  <a class="links" href="javascript:void(0)" onclick="top.openFile('mfggeneral/main_temp_file.html');return(false);">Template file</a> when there is a large amount of logic involved in the document. If your customization requires a large amount of detailed instructions, and you are experienced in Tcl, the customization can be done in the Event Handler. This way the Template File does not become too difficult to read with too many detailed instructions.
