      </table><br><p class="para_topic">If you have a situation where you need to preserve the shape of a groove or other geometry, regardless of offset applied, you can use the Constant Radius/Chamfer corner type to help you do this. This is shown below:</p>

      </table><br><p class="para_topic">Use of the Constant Radius/Chamfer corner option preserves the lengths of the chamfers. You can also do this on more complicated boundaries, as shown below.</p>

      <p class="para_topic">To translate a group of segments:</p>
      <ol type="1" start="1">
         <li>
            <p class="para_item">Open the Edit Member dialog at the geometry level.</p>
         </li>
         <li>
            <p class="para_item">Begin by selecting the boundary segment marked  <img align="bottom" src="graphics/num_1.gif" border="0"> above. Add tolerance offset to the first boundary member and set Corner 1 to a General corner type.
            </p>
         </li>
         <li>
            <p class="para_item">Select the Constant Radius/Chamfer corner type for each of the corners marked by arrows above. To do this: </p>
            <ol type="a" start="1">
               <li>
                  <p class="para_item">On the first boundary member (already selected above), select the Constant Radius/Chamfer corner type for Corner 2.</p>
               </li>
               <li>
                  <p class="para_item">Select the next boundary member (in the boundary direction). </p>
               </li>
               <li>
                  <p class="para_item">Select the Constant Radius/Chamfer corner type for each corner (Corner 1 is already correctly set as you did that in the previous step).</p>
               </li>
               <li>
                  <p class="para_item">Continue successively selecting all boundary members and setting each corner to the Constant Radius/Chamfer corner type until you reach boundary member  <img align="bottom" src="graphics/num_2.gif" border="0">. Do not enter a tolerance offset value for any of these segments.
                  </p>
               </li>
            </ol>
         </li>
         <li>
            <p class="para_item">Set the same tolerance offset for boundary member  <img align="bottom" src="graphics/num_2.gif" border="0"> that you set for boundary member  <img align="bottom" src="graphics/num_1.gif" border="0">. 
            </p>
         </li>
         <li>
            <p class="para_item">Select a General corner type for Corner 2.</p>
         </li>
         <li>
            <p class="para_item">Select Preview. The system has translated the entire group of boundary segments by the amount of the tolerance offset you set.</p>
         </li>
      </ol>
