Lead Angle defines the angle of the tool forward or backward along the Tool Path. A positive Lead Angle value leans the tool forward based on the direction of the Tool Path. A negative Lead Angle value leans the tool backward based on the direction of the Tool Path. Because the Lead angle is based on the directional movement of the tool, a Zig-Zag cut pattern causes the tool to lean one way in a Zig pass, and lean the opposite way in a Zag pass.

Tilt Angle defines the angle of the tool side to side. A positive value tilts the tool to the right as you look in the direction of cut. A negative value tilts the tool to the left. Unlike Lead Angle, the Tilt Angle is constant and is not dependent on the directional movement of the tool.
