 the TRANS command. The major difference is that the translation generated
 by the TRANS command is handled by the postprocessor and coordinates output
 by the postprocessor are affected. The translation generated by the RESET

<p CLASS=CellDescrip

<p CLASS=CellDescrip

					style="width: 510px;

	align=left>3. As an option, OFF will output a rapid positioning move
 to the present location in the true machine coordinate system; i.e., removing
 the XOFF and YOFF values. If &quot;c,d&quot; follow &quot;OFF&quot;, the
 &quot;c,d&quot; values will be subtracted from the CL X,Y coordinates
 for the present position.</p>

 command is output by the GPM. When programmed the RESET/OFF G code is
 output followed by a rapid motion block to the current position in the
 machine coordinate systems. No tool movement occurs.</p>
<p CLASS=CellDescrip
	style="text-align: left;"
	align=left>There are five conditions which must be met to utilize this
 feature:</p>
<p CLASS=CellDescrip
	style="text-align: left;"
	align=left>1. Machine must be a lathe.</p>
<p CLASS=CellDescrip
	style="text-align: left;"
	align=left>2. There must be a G code to cancel the preset.</p>
<p CLASS=CellDescrip
	style="text-align: left;"
	align=left>3. The MDF must be set up for RESET/OFF to cancel XOFF and
 YOFF.</p>
<p CLASS=CellDescrip
	style="text-align: left;"
	align=left>4. MDF must be set to track tool tip.</p>
<p CLASS=CellDescrip
	style="text-align: left;"
	align=left>5. RESET/OFF must be programmed.</p>
<p style="text-align: left; margin-bottom: 0;"
	align=left>&nbsp;</td></tr>
</table>

<p CLASS=Paragraph>The following program segments demonstrate how this
 feature could be used:</p>

<p style="text-align: left;"
	align=left>Assumptions:<br>
<br>
Tracking Tool Nose Radius<br>
FROM is Turret Reference<br>
G99 cancels G92</p>

<p style="text-align: left;"

TURRET/FACE,2,ADJUST,2,XOFF,-6,YOFF,-1.5</p>

<p style="text-align: left;"
	align=left>Output will be:</p>

<p style="text-align: left;"
	align=left>N0010G92X14Z35</p>

<p style="text-align: left;"
	align=left><span style="font-style: italic;">Establish preset</span></p>

<p style="text-align: left;"
	align=left>N0020T0101M06<br>
N0030G00X5Z30<br>
N0040G01Z20<br>
N0050G00X10</p>

<p style="text-align: left;"
	align=left><span style="font-style: italic;">Tool change position</span></p>

<p style="text-align: left;"
	align=left>N0050G99</p>

<p style="text-align: left;"
	align=left><span style="font-style: italic;">Cancel preset</span></p>

<p style="text-align: left;"
	align=left>N0070G00X11Z25</p>

<p style="text-align: left;"
	align=left><span style="font-style: italic;">Rapid to tool change position
 in true machine coordinates. (No motion)</span></p>

<p style="text-align: left;"
	align=left>N0080G92X9Z19.5<br>
N0090T0202M06</p>

<p style="text-align: left;"
	align=left>&nbsp;</p>

<p CLASS=Paragraph>The feature also allows you to include the &quot;ORIGIN&quot;
 in the preset coordinate system. If you elect to do this, do not program
 ORIGIN. Instead program RESET/OFF,c,d, where c,d represent the signed
 distance along x and y from part 0,0 to machine 0,0 in the part coordinate
 system. Once programmed, &quot;c,d&quot; remain modal until changed. Then
 when RESET/OFF is programmed, the &quot;c,d&quot; values are also subtracted
 from the current CL points, and the result is output as a rapid move to
 the current position in the true machine coordinate system. For example,
 if machine 0,0 is at 40 in x and 15 in y in the part coordinate system
 you could program:</p>

<p style="text-align: left;"
	align=left>FROM/40,15,0<br>
RESET/OFF,40,15<br>
TURRET/FACE,1,ADJUST,XOFF,-5,YOFF,-1</p>

<p style="text-align: left;"
	align=left><span style="font-style: italic;">The GPM outputs</span></p>

<p style="text-align: left;"
	align=left>N0010G00X0Z0<br>
N0020G92X14Z35<br>
N0030T010 M06</p>

<p style="text-align: left;"
	align=left>Using the previous example, the output could be:</p>

<p style="text-align: left;"
	align=left>N0050G00X10<br>
N0060G99<br>
N0070G00X-4Z-15<br>
N0080G92X9Z19.5</p>
