      <p class="para_topic">Machine Control Events allow you to provide special instructions to the machine tool within the tool path. Postprocessor commands may be specified at the start of a tool path, at the end of a tool path, and even in the middle of a path. Machine Control Events are made up system provided events, and User Defined Events, also called UDEs. For more information, see <a class="links" href="javascript:void(0)" onclick="top.openFile('mfggeneral/cust_user_def_events.html');return(false);">User Defined Events</a>.

      <p class="para_topic">The postprocessor commands are typically defined using Machine Control.</p>
      <p class="para_topic">In general, Post Commands are output together, in the order in which you specify them. Startup post commands are output before the first GOTO command. End-of-path post commands are output at the end of the tool path. The commands ORIGIN and CUTCOM have special placement rules. See the discussion of these commands for more detailed information.</p>
      <p class="para_topic">If you specify a FROM or START POINT (as avoidance parameters), the default output position for postprocessor commands is after the FROM and before the START POINT. An ORIGIN command will precede the FROM position. For example:</p>

      <p class="para_topic">If you specify a RETURN or GOHOME (as avoidance parameters), the default output position for postprocessor commands is after the RETURN and before the GOHOME. For example:</p>
