      <p class="para_topic">Cut Area applies to the Area Milling Drive Method and the Flowcut Drive Method and may be defined by selecting Surface Regions, Sheet Bodies, or Faces. Unlike the Surface Area Drive Method, the cut area geometry need not be selected in an orderly grid of rows and columns.</p>
      <p class="para_topic">Area Milling Drive Method may use a Zig-Zag with Lifts Cut Type. This Cut Type lifts the tool between passes according to the specification for local Engage, Retract, and Traverse moves.</p>
      <p class="para_topic">In the Fixed Contour dialog, choose Area Milling as the Drive Method. specify the desired parameters by pressing the wrench icon, select your parameters, and press OK to accept. &nbsp;In the Fixed Contour Dialog, choose Cut Area and Select to define the cut area geometry. If you do not define the cut area geometry, the system will use the silhouette of the part.</p>

      <div class="title_figure">Cut Area used in Area Milling Drive Method</div>
      <p class="para_topic">The Flow Cut Drive method allows you to define the Cut Area geometry in the same way as the new Area Milling Drive Method. You may select Surface Regions, Sheet Bodies, or Faces as the cut area. The system recognizes the concave valleys within the cut area and the concave valleys formed by the cut area and the part geometry. The system excludes the valleys formed by the cut area and check geometry.</p>
      <p class="para_topic">In the Fixed Contour dialog, choose Flow Cut as the Drive Method. Specify the desired parameters in the Flow Cut Dialog, and OK to accept. In the Fixed Contour Dialog, choose Cut Area and Select to define the cut area geometry. If you do not specify a cut area, the system will use the entire defined Part Geometry (excluding areas not accessible by the tool) as the cut area.</p>
